Proctor is the most overrated lineman to ever play at Alabama.

OL played like shite but they weren't helped with the playcalling and the QB holding onto the ball, stepping up when he shouldn't, and not stepping up when he should have.

Proctor is TERRIBLE. Talk about a guy who has flushed away a chance at greatness and being a first round draft pick. He didn't have the self discipline to put the donuts down and drop 40 lbs in the offseason and instead put on another 5 lbs. Tragic to have that much talent and not be serious about that kind of money in the NFL.

Honestly, I hope he's benched at they start Jackson Lloyd or Michael Carroll out there. I don't see how they could do any worse.

Anyone still arguing Proctor didn’t need to lose 30-40 pounds this offseason?

The upside is I was terrified the right side of the OL wasn’t going to be functional and even with Alinen throwing up in a trash can they were ok over there.

Some of those were because Ty wanted 6 seconds in the pocket.

He reads and processes slow and then is tepid in actually letting the ball go.

They didn’t credit Brailsford for his carry.

He also failed to climb the pocket effectively.

It cost us a conversion where he got hit but had he taken a step up he gets the ball off and has a receiver wide open.

He looked stout on the first drive. Still gotta be better when the QB is flailing.

I wouldn’t be shocked if the true freshmen get a look in this week’s game. If they play well, see how they hold up against Wisconsin. Then maybe go from there.

Yeah it was like watching a white Milroe. Instead of stepping up in pocket, he immediately turns and runs backward as the line falls apart because the DL can now wildly pursuit.

It's hard but if this was Saban he would open up the QB position and give Mack and Keelon a chance to prove themselves. He did it with Milroe and we rallied to almost win a championship.

KDB? Dude is a weak coward and would never.

Chris Kapilovic needs to go too. I know recruiting is an inexact science and there are misevaluations but there is ZERO reason to be this bad as a unit when almost all the O linemen Bama has signed were former 4 and 5 star recruits.

I don't think Ty played as bad as a lot of people do, but he didn't play well enough for neither Mack nor Russell to get game reps with the 1s the next couple of weeks to see if either of them get on a roll. This is also why it's fricking stupid to name a first time starter a team captain.

This is exactly why I didn’t slurp the koolaid on the OL talk. It’s been 5 years of talk not measuring up to hype with that unit. I was wait-and-see, well I saw and it was the same ol’ dogshit since Dickerson and crew graduated.

How many times is DeBoer going to try to set up that WR screen where it depends on Proctor pulling? They tried that again yesterday after about a half dozen attempts last year and it has yet to work because Proctor is too slow to ever get there

I wouldn’t blame Simpson for the pocket, most of the plays were long developing routes. The batted ball in the first was quite literally waiting three seconds for Germie to make his break

I would fathom most of these came in the second half after we went full hurry up air raid. When you throw it 45+ times guys get tired, especially if you’re coming up empty near the red zone

The line looked fine most of the game in all honesty. Some breakdowns here and there but nothing like USF or Michigan last year

Having to score on every series just to keep pace isn't a great plan.

The pressure caved in the plan. If you can't stop anybody on defense, you're in for tuff battle.
