Skywalker u said it better than I could have myself. It's like people pray for jalen to fail so they can cry "see I told u". It's pathetic for grown people to have this attitude

I think its become more obvious this year that if there is even the slightest chance a pass will get picked, he will not throw it.

He threw it between three guys against LSU. Tight little window. First down! Roll Tide!

I said you are right about some praying for jalen to fail. Someone had implied I was saying they were racist earlier, and I was simply saying I didn't bring up race, they did. That wasnt directed at u

agree completely about JH handling pressure. And I never implied anyone was racist not once that's a you problem to get defensive about it

That seems to be the automatic argument these days regarding Hurts detractors everytime one of these discussions happens. So I apologize for assuming that's what you meant.

Though I would say that you were kind of vague when you said some Bama fans would never support Hurts no matter what. Racism being the reason, is an implication one could easily take from that.

No biggie, criticism is fine ...And I'm sure a small portion of it probably is rooted in race. Too much of that sjw mentality these days however. I only hope we can all see that we re lucky to have JH on our team. I think he's grown in the pocket and wants to improve. He's got all the intangibles.

Yeah Skywalker I think jalen won't be completely appreciated until he's gone.

Again, and I fricking said it in that post. When he goes into "winner" mode, he throws into tight windows. But he refuses to do so until he has to do so to insure Bama wins.

That window was almost too tight though, lol. Hell of a throw.

Which actually further proves my point. If he has the ability to do it in a window that small, why doesn't he do it on larger windows earlier in the game. He is too scared of making a mistake, when he should trust himself more. He can do it.

I think he just knows the right time to let it rip. Valuing the ball is coach Saban's first requirement and as u rightly stated jalen is good at that. I think he's trying to find a balance between protecting the ball and turning it loose. He's still growing . If he were regressing then I'd worry

I love the kid, and I love having him as our QB, even if he does frustrate me sometimes. He has got more than just the intangibles though. He has all of the physical talent in the world to go along with them.

Everything I've been trying to say about him boils down to this. He needs to learn to fully trust in his own ability to throw the ball. He can read defenses and he can make progressions, but he needs to start trusting his eyes and arm so he can start wheeling and dealing.

When he does, the sky is the limit.

I’m glad you don’t let those mock draft guys influence your opinion of Hurts.

I agree it could be an issue of trusting himself. That'll gradually come...Might've came last Saturday night. he read 2 up the middle blitzes and stood in pocket and fired it... Wouldn't have happened last yr.

I really loved where hurts has progressed this season. Is he a NFL QB? I really don't know at this point. Everybody develops at different rates but I have no qualms with how he is playoff currently

And I think some Bama fans need a little outside perspective on Hurts' abilities because their crimson glasses have grown a little too thick.

You wouldn't listen if you got that perspective.

This thread.

There's truth on both sides. But, there's more on one than the other. We'll discuss it when our offseason arrives.

I think some of us are tired of hearing that jalen is garbage and that people seem to know more about QB play than our coaching staff. CNS has always played the best players ...I'm pretty confident that JH would be benched if it was necessary
