Many people said that we were going to lose in the round of 32 last year against Grand Canyon. Of course a lot of these dick head media people are so biased and unprofessional that it’s not worth getting worked up for.

We were in their bracket last year. But they got upset by GCU.

out...second round to St Mary's...because our tempo plays into their hands or something.

I think efficient pace is the name of the game. Especially the second game of the weekend. Run other teams to death.

Its why Clemson missed so many FTs in the second half last year.

We lost to SDSU because Miller was hurt, and we let them dictate the pace. We learned how to force our have better after that game.

Last year we made the FF because we ran everyone over, and this year's team has an even higher pace.

I like our odds to make the EE. I expect to see Duke there. They are an incredible team, but we can play with anyone. Their starters are great, and they have good guard depth, but don't have the front court depth UF does imo.

Really, it all depends on Nelson's health. We should still make the second weekend without him though.

I meant the KenPom percentages to make it to each round. That’s pretty interesting.

I tell you a game I’m back and forth on is Louisville v Creighton

Not only am I favouring Louisville, I think they may beat Auburn second round. Louisville is on a heater.

Hopefully we can get Reid more playing time in this game, too.

Not sure Reid wants to play that much. Hope he does,

Nice! Appreciate it. I tried to search it under his profile but I hopped off Twitter a while back and it’s hit and miss if I can get things to pull up there now.

We are a terrible matchup for them. More athletic across the board and just as good rebounding the ball.

They've made the tournament 8 times since 2010 (3 times as a #7 seed, 3 times as a #5 seed, and 2 times as a #11 seed) and have only won 3 games, with 2 of them coming against VCU.

First-round opponent Robert Morris features a local star. Former Pinson Valley 2x 6A player of the year Kam Woods leads his team in scoring (15.1), assists (5.1) and steals (1.7).

St. Mary's

They have a very good defense. They are fourth in the nation in opponents points/game, second in the nation in opponent 3pt made/game and fourth in opponent 3pt attempts/game, out rebound their opponents by 10/game, tenth in the nation in not allowing opponent's offensive rebounds, and don't put people on the line. Gonzaga is second in the nation in scoring but St. Mary's held them to 58, 67, and 58 in three games this season and beat them twice.

They run about 8-9 deep. Starting guards are 6'4", 6'3" and 6'3". Expect them to run us off the 3pt line and not foul the driver because they are good in help defense. We'll need to shoot better on the open looks we get and need our bigs to play big. We definitely have a height advantage if Nelson is healthy and Cliff and Sherrell play well. Jarin will be a key match up issue for them if he plays smart and stays aggressive.

We will need to be smart on our drives to the rim. They help well and step in for the charge.

Should we win, absolutely. Can't overlook them and not play all out because they will.

They have all those stats but who have they played? Not anything like we have. They will not show anything we have not faced.
