re: NCAA approves Commercial Badges on uniforms

I mentioned this once before. One of these marketing people at a big brand need to do something like this:

“At Mercedes Benz, we understand class and style. When you perfect a look, you don’t mess with it. That’s why we will be sponsoring the University of Alabama uniform without a logo.”

I would immediately go buy a Mercedes and they’d be my family’s car of choice for as long as that was in place. That’s a much more impactful marketing tool than just putting your logo on cloth and would make news.

It’s like watching your favorite restaurant get bought out by private equity and seeing them do every possible thing imaginable to make your experience worse.

It’s now the NFL but with more turnover, worse players, no salary cap and terrible rules.

Theres absolutely no chance that if I were picking a sport to follow that I didn’t have ties to that I would become a CFB/CBB fan. In fact I would make fun of it.

Is that rim shop in Forestdale some of our players used in the 90s still around? Can't remember the name.
