My guess is that Golding and O'Brien will both be here through the bowl game

any co-ordinator hires would probably be in January.

Cool story, I know.

Regardless, it'll be a great day for our football program when both have Tuscaloosa in their rear view mirror.

We are ranked 129 out of 131 teams in penalties per game.

I think we will nearly for sure have another OC next season, but I won't be surprised if Golding is still here. What is that syndrome called that you expect something bad to happen? yeah. That's me regarding that situation.

As a fan, It will be 100% deflating if Golding returns.

Bob's contact is up, and looking at this comment from Sayin, I think BoB is telling people he is not coming back.

"“He said he can’t guarantee he’s going to be there when I get there,” Julian Sayin said of O'Brien before he committed. “I asked Coach Saban and with the new coordinator, they’re going to get the best guy. There’s no real worries there about different offensive coordinators. They’re going to get the best guy for the position.”

That doesn't sound like an if we are going to get a new coordinator statement.

Both O’Brien & Golding would be perfect test subjects for the Neuralink brain chip. Maybe then both could actually put a game plan together.

We need any fan or bar patron to alert the Tuscaloosa PD when Golding is departing from the bar, enroute to his car.
Desperate times call for desperate measures.

yeah. That was very encouraging. Like probably most Alabama fans by now, I hope Golding will be replaced, but with a good OC I think we could outscore everybody if we just had to. Sometimes Golding pulls a horseshoe out his azz and the defense has a good game. But yeah, with the talent we should expect most games to be good.

Or find a mean Tweet from like 2009 since saying mean things on the internet is worse than driving drunk in this clown world...

What I watch for is what coaches are brought in as "consultants" before the bowl game. Whomever that will be might be a hint who the new coordinators might be. Example, Kiffin was a "consultant" brought in to evaluate the offense under Nussmeier.

Like Sark was there with Kiffen. Granted he went to the Falcons the next year, but i think Saban wanted him the whole time.

Any guy that’s proven at all will be immediately better than Pete. Pete was never proven and for whatever reason never matured or got better, even with all that time with Saban. Sad really.

Looks like Pete’s mom is in here downvoting everybody.
Hey mom, you did a shite job with your drunkard son and his defensive capabilities. Now gimme my downvote!

Only if they are coming from the NFL, or aren't currently coaching, such as from a team whose coaches have been fired. If they're coming from another decent major college team they are coaching for a bowl game or playoffs.

"I think one thing that's important to remember here, when he went to Alabama he didn't take his family with him. His family stayed in Houston. So going to an NFL team I think would give him a sort of location where he could bring his family with him. I think that's an important element of it."

If a man were inclined to...party... a little, living single for a couple of years, making over a million per year, would be the time to do it.

eta- not even to mention all the millions he made as a head coach

This. The defense under Pete never showed even the slightest sign of improvement year to year. The same problems that plague the D today, plagued it in 2019.

By the standards in 2010, Kirby's first defense was dog shite. I remember a lot of us were thinking he was in over his head and got the promotion way too early. But he rebounded bigly in 2011 and the rest was history. If Golding hasn't improved our D by now (four years latet), then what we see is what we'll continue to get.

Anyone who hires BoB is dumb. His results are shite. I don't care what his resume says.
