The way he called out Bill O’Brien before the Rose Bowl was cringe worthy. And I’m not a BOB fan at all.

Yeah, the Roll Tide schtick after every interview has always sounded forced and somewhat condescending to me.

Close my friend, but you actually have to go past "Diva" and go all the way to "politician" if you really want to understand how cancerous Milroe has been.
I agree with the guy that totally melted last night and declared that Milroe had destroyed Alabama football. The internal struggle that has played out in the locker room around this one player put an end to an era.
I wish CNS could have gone out with a team that played with his values his last season, but then again theres a reason it was his last season.

Saban mentioned his behavior as one of the reasons he retired. Remember him talking about players throwing their helmets after the Rose Bowl? That was Milroe specifically.
Hadn’t heard that, but I’m not doubting it either.

I mean did you know many elite players at Bama? Most of them were alpha types with major egos.
I’m not getting into any specific stories but let’s just say that’s not a Jalen Milroe thing, that’s a superstar athlete thing.
When they win no one cares, when they lose everyone complains about it.

I put this on the University as well. They trotted out Milroe as the face of the program during the offseason. Gave him courtside seats at basketball games, facilitated that stupid LANK documentary, etc. That hurt the chances of having a true open QB competition and clean slate for DeBoer to work with.
Maybe Ty Simpson is much worse than Milroe (Not sure how that’s possible but let’s assume that for the sake of argument). However UA building Milroe up like he had actually accomplished something made matters worse for everyone.
What makes this even more frustrating is that Milroe is one of the players that threatened to transfer unless he got more money following the Rose Bowl…which pushed Saban into retirement.

Where’s the evidence Milroe threatened to transfer?

I was hoping Milroe would transfer, and when he didn’t I expected a full QB battle with a new coach/staff…
I can’t remember a single instance that even hinted at a open QB competition…

Lulu, yeah I'm sure the fanbase that threw drinks at a guy with ALS were minding their own business, singing Amazing Grace when he decided to erupt for absolutely positively no reason at all...

Yawn on folks jawing in the stands, whether its fans who care about team or just a guy thinking how much of their son’s nil theyre getting.
What matters is whats on the field. Ive been around Bama for awhile and have seen in the past whats going on now.
The players are talented. Talented, but soft and weak mentally and physically.
Nonetheless, the buck stops with the head coach, and he’ll either get it together now or will be gone sooner than some on here want to admit. There is simply too much to lose by a collapse of the fb program.

Because he was. Just because it wasn’t reported by AL.com doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. Is it really that shocking that Milroe would do that?

So now we're just talking out our arse and calling it facts are we? What proof do you have that he did that?

Like father, like son
Seems neither can handle pressure or emotions.

My sons went to school with Milroe and his little brother at Katy. My son ran cross country and track and worked out with Milroe from time to time. He said he changed after his commitment to Bama. Milroe's little brother said when Jalen was recruited to Bama it went to his head. He thinks very highly of himself and can very much play the media. Believe me or not I don't really care. And yes it has affected my opinion of Milroe.

He should just sit down and shut up and spend his time thinking about how to spend all the NIL $$$ his son is basically stealing.
I would suggest investing it prudently because it's not looking like that big NFL money is going to be a thing. Probably one of the things he's upset about. Literally Milroe has gone from being hyped as a potential #1 pick after Georgia to a late round pick with an uphill climb to even make a roster...all within 3 weeks.
