He called a player retarded. This isn’t an argument. We aren’t bashing players like that in this forum. If you don’t like it leave.

...but lost to Vandy... you HAVE to beat Vandy

Milroe is probably a bright enough young man to make it in the world. But he’s not a high football IQ player. He has this dangerous combination of being unsure of what to do whenever he needs to be decisive and being 100% confident in his decisions when it would be unadvised.
He somehow can manage to be the QB who won’t throw a ball until he is confident they’re open thus throwing too late yet also the QB who is uncorking a front pylon fade when the CB has both eyes squarely on him. It is baffling and really is a core through line after seeing him start for over 20 games.
He may be the best QB in that locker room but he is not good enough to be the centerpiece of a good college offense and we’re not good enough on defense in 2024 to be able to win meaningful trophies with a mediocre offense.
If they’re going to salvage this season with a back door opportunity to the playoffs, they’re going to have to either get more from the tailbacks or change quarterbacks to get better distribution in the throw game. If Milroe is the best option at QB, they need to take some things off his plate and not make the offense’s success so dependent on him.

I agree completely. Make it easier, use the backs more, or change the QB. I don’t care which one either.

Well thats going to need a ton more clarification. What constitutes bashing them? They are paid athletes also. Why can't we bash them? We can call each other names but not players? What about coaches?

Milroe cannot make quick decisions. He has to decide where to go before the snap.
The only person standing by him on the bench is the water girl. Where are the coaches? Are they even trying to figure out what to do better? Looking at the last plays to correct some issues? No, it looks like JPW with Shula, just sit on the bench, go back out there and do the same damn shite as the drive before.

We will not win a championship with Milroe as QB. Give Simpson a chance; it couldn't be any worse.

Your OP needs to be reposted.
If these fricking players want NIL and all the money and perks that come from it, then fine you got it. It's all theirs, but they're professionals now. They no longer play the college game for the love of it and none of them give one single donkey's dick about the University or it's traditions. They'll pack up and leave at the drop of a hat.
With all that in mind. Who the frick is Jalen Milroe that he can't be called "retarded"? Just like an NFL player, he's well paid to provide a professional level product and if he were in the NFL, his fans would straight up call him retarded right now and none of them would give a shite or say it's "too much".
There's two sides to being treated like the professional football player that he is. Right now, he needs to be exposed to the uglier side.
Prior to NIL, I would say get off his back. Not now. frick him and his shitty football playing.

I said that last year before the ADay game.
He's one dimensional and we can't run a full offense with him as the quarterback.

We have one RB. When he got hurt we basically didn't have a run game.
Haynes is a bum. I know Ryan Williams didn't block on that RB screen but he couldn't even shake one CB.
We are very weak at RB. Our WR don't block. Our QB has reverted to being the bum he was two years ago. Our OL is poor. Our OC doesn't scheme well enough and runs dumbshit at times which will fail.
Then there is the DC who can't adjust and struggles on 3rd/4th and long

BINGO. In fact, with the transfer portal, they have more power than NFL players on contract.
I'm sure NIL will change over time to be more like a contract but the college game should be about representing the school and not about the individual selling themselves to the NFL. Might as well let players sell advertising space on their jerseys like golfers and soccer.
And it's never going back.

I don’t think the mods care if you insult Milroe, it sounds like it’s just that word that’s the problem.
I’ve personally been called far worse here and laughed about it because it’s a message board.

Richardson had really one full year of game film. Allowed a lot of "he's just raw" narrative to be concocted.
And they’re gonna see he had 4 and 5 star talent around him that Richardson didn’t have.

It will fall into an equilibrium at some point. But people need to stop hoping that some white knight is going to ride to the sport’s rescue and make it like it was before.

That’s just demonstrably false.
Jalen Milroe doesn’t play defense; you look up the last time a Bama defense gave up 33 points to Vandy…

He’s regressed, no question, but he’s won Alabama a lot of games that other QB’s likely could not have.
He’s also not responsible for the holds and false starts and all the drive extending penalties made by the defense.
This all looks like coaching to me. Lack of focus. “The process” was real and now it’s gone.
