Merry Christmas!
Even though my children are almost adults (boys are 21 and 19, daughter turns 18 in 2 days) the two that still live with/near us want to open presents super early this morning. My oldest son is coming over soon.
My middle child lives in Hawaii so this will be our first Christmas apart. He came for Thanksgiving so we gave him his gifts then.
Still trying to process our first Christmas without the kids all being under the same roof. My parents weren't lying when they told me it goes by so fast.

Almost in the same boat with a 21 year old and a 17 year old. Youngest will be in school nearby for the next few years and the 21 year old seems like he’s sticking around, so maybe we have a few with everyone around.
We alternated for several years going back and forth to Bama for the holidays after I joined the AF. Over the past few years I’ve been back more for funerals that I have for holidays. Getting old is tough.

Dropped the wife and my 8 year old son at the airport , going to India to see the grandparents for 2 weeks.
Seeing him go through the TSA line , I had to walk away, talking about getting choked up. Thats my buddy. especially watching Bama football.
I prayed God provides comfort to the ones that have lost loved ones that wont come back and how tough that may be.
Anyway , he is having a blast, btw,

Saint, it definitely goes by way too fast. But when the grandkids come along, it's a whole other stage of fun. You have a lot to look forward to, even while you're feeling down about your kids out of the house!! Merry Christmas.

If you want to go spend some time with a bunch of goofballs today I can send you the address of my family's get together in Canton.
We didn't make the trip from Texas but my extended family is still getting together today.
