He stood in the pocket and took some hard hits. Made a few good runs too.

I don’t know that Tua could have done that, to be honest.

The pick sixes were horrible, but he bounced back. Offense scored over 30 on the best defense in the sec.

Yeah, the pick sixes SUCKED, but Mac earned respect out there yesterday. Didn't quit. Stayed aggressive, and played tough.

He did nothing that makes me excited for next year and him being our starter.

If we can get a a formidable run game going next year with Sanders, we absolutely can put up a lot of points with Mac, Waddle, and whoever else steps up. Not really sure how the Oline is going to look.

The blame on the 2nd pick 6 really should be split. We shouldn't have been throwing in the first place but Najee could have made the tough play also. Then of course the crazy pick by the auburn player

Mac proved his worth yesterday. Kid is tough as nails and can make plays. First pick six is on him and a bad throw. Second, they were about to pile drive him and he still made the throw. If Najee turns around it hits him right between the numbers. Can't ask for much better than that under pressure. I'll take him over any other QB in the SEC that's not named Tua or Burrow

Putting up by far the most points on auburn all year? Outscoring Fromm, Herbert, and Burrow? All while playing in Jordan-Hare

The Auburn blitz was on Mac so fast that he had to throw it before he wanted to and before Najee was looking for it. It's as if Auburn knew what was coming. And no, we shouldn't have been throwing on first and goal.

Opposite for me - I am actually much more excited about him being the starter next year after last night. I am afraid Taulia will transfer after seeing him perform.

Proud of Mac. He took the game by the horns, he played with no fear. Despite the two major mistakes, he nearly led the team to victory (because the defense couldn’t do shite).

I wonder how he’ll look in 2020 with a whole off-season of development.

Mac did a good job yesterday against a. Enter defense than Tua faced all season and put up more than enough points to win a game with a semi competent defense. Bama wasn’t winning a national title with Tua back there as long as Bama is playing this brand of defense. My ONLY issue with Saban has been the recent coaching hires but I’m sure he is hiring the best available coaches he can.

Mac doesn't worry me. Having only one veteran WR and not much coming back at RB worries me. I'm not at all sold on Robinson.

He played far better than I expected. The first pick was a bad throw, the second was ill advised and really piss poor luck. I honestly expected him to be rattled but he didn’t really look unsettled at all. Next year will be different tho. Losing a lot of talent so he will need to progress quickly.

Mac played well. The 30+ points we scored should straight up be overkill to even beat this Auburn team. This Auburn team has looked beyond atrocious on offense all season and the defense made them look unstoppable.

Unless "the tough play" here involves being able to see out of the side of his helmet there was no way Najee could have caught that ball. If it was placed over his right shoulder it's an easy TD.

That's a pretty optimistic assessment. I haven't seen anything to indicate that this is something that we should expect. A formidable run game from a guy who has never taken a college snap...behind an Oline that even you indicated you don't know what to expect from? That's a pretty rosy scenario. We have probably the worst returning run game in terms of what they've actually done on the field in the last 12 years. Sure, Waddle will be back. The rest of the returning WRs had less than 5 catches combined. One of the great things about this offense was that there was no one you could double cover...there were just too many. In 2020, until proven otherwise, it's Waddle, and that's it. And unless there are other serious downfield threats, he'll be easier to take out of the game.

and those are more reasons I said I was more optimistic about next year than before the game.

In spite of the 2 interceptions Mac showed he is capable of producing a title contending offense, and the running game showed it is capable of producing a balanced offense, so Sark called a good mix of run and pass. We won't have Tua, but if Sanders is as good as early practices indicated, we may have a more balanced offense.

It ain't all as bad as many are letting on it is.

Kinda hard to do when the best defensive player in the nation is about to pile drive you into the dirt one second after the ball is snapped.
