You're right it's rumors and has been the whole time because no one would ever accept it as fact unless it came from Nick Saban's mouth, which would never happen. But, you could easily say it would make more sense to stay at Bama for 1 more year and see what jobs open next year. I just think there's too much smoke and signs to this that makes it easy to believe.

Doesn't matter now, though.

Half his dough walked out the door with Layla. Plus he probably has an alimony and child support nut to make each month.

but yeah, like $600K plus perks is some shitty deal. LOL

Yeah, it's a shitty deal, but I'll be a team player and take it!

Will he remain with the team through the bowls?

FAU isn't going to benefit greatly by Kiffin showing up now to work on recruits. They benefit more by having an HC that just won 3 conf titles and back to back national titles as an OC.

I'm going to an FAU game next season and hold up a sign, "Run the damn ball!"

Something is rotten either from the LSU side or from the gump side. I would not be surprised if LK is getting some under-the-table checks from Tuscaloosa to supplement his income in return for him staying away from LSU.

I think they might be playing here vs. ODU next year.

I'm gonna hold a hookers and blow party in a luxury box and get word to Kiff.

Think he should've waited but, that's if he wanted a power 5 job...but FAU is in a nice area, I guess.

I can testify, Boca has as many hot chicks from 18-55 per capita as almost any area going.

Looks like $1M plus perks and bonus opportunities to drive that number up a little.

never saw him as a long-term thing

Since when has any Bama OC been a long-term thing after Saban got here in '07? Applewhite for 1 year, McElwain for 4, Nuss for 2, and Kiffin for 3...I recall hearing McElwain joke earlier this year how he was the longest serving OC at Bama under Saban...

Whomever we get as OC, I seriously doubt he's here long-term either...

Kiffin has reached out to Blake Barnett to join him at FAU.

No it doesn't.

The dude wants to be a head coach, and FAU seemed to be the only place that would hire him right now. Why does it have to be more complicated than that?

Plot: Youngest ever NFL Coach fails, goes to the best College football dynasty slays as much strange as possible, then goes to a small university as the new HC, with a ton of leniency, by day....Johnny Manziel by night.

Holy shite what a sitcom this would be if HBO picked it up. Think Eastbound & Down.

Boz, do you hear that Saban is happy about all of this, or is he a bit disappointed that he's having to oust Lane and Sark?

No it isnt but being an a-hole/burning bridges is everything. Kiffin's career is the Benjamin button of all careers.

Raiders HC -> Tennessee HC -> USC HC w/ Sanctions -> Alabama OC -> Florida Atlantic HC.

That is a good thing strategically in my opinion. The only constant with Saban is talent rich punishing defense. The ever changing variable is the offense that is also talent rich but changing in how it punches your team.
