Why does everyone assume we can’t get Schumann? There’s been nothing reliable that Saban made him his #1 target, just a bunch of “insiders” speculating because of the Bama and Kirby connections. Maybe Saban doesn’t consider him as great as many Bama fans

Positivity is one thing but I'm not going to be a complete sunshine pumper. Schumann has it good at UGA. It's like many can't acknowledge that.

I’m just going to take the W of Grantham not being a possibility for today.

We won in 20 only because of the offense. I miss the defenses we used to have but football has evolved. Georgia won this year because TCU stunk. Their defense got lit up by Ohio State. It's a new world. No defense is going to stop a really good offense. The offense has all the advantages.

Even the best defenses are going to get lit up every once and a while against elite offenses. But Golding's defense gave up 52 to Tennessee and allowed Auburn to run for 300 yards.

To an offense my 6U team runs I might add.

I do think we wouldve won it all in 20 had Jamo and Metchie not been hurt vs Georgia. As good as Georgias D was last year our O was better. Which is one reason I was shocked to see people turn on BoB so fast after that season. We had a lot of different issues last year on offense.

You can win with offense but I think its harder, your qb gets injured (this year and the tua years) or a couple of wrs get hurt (last year) it can derail you. Defense travels.

And it was mostly the QB. Can’t you eventually stop all the QB yards? We had no answer.

All LSU had was a running QB and PG couldn't stop that either. If we're going to a more physical run dominant offense the DC has to be elite.

I don't want Muschamp period.

Give me "Chick-fil-A Bag Pruitt"

Let Pruitt hire whoever he wants on the defensive side of the ball.

Very little out there on this search so I’ll speculate.

It seems most are of the opinion that Saban will hire a veteran coordinator to pair with Austin Armstrong. I sort of feel it could be someone that served on staff previously. Possibly Kevin Steele? Or current NFL coach with experience as a coordinator? Someone like Derrick Ansley?

Kevin Steele did well for us in the past. I thought he did a great job as AU DC. Some will hold the 2012 Orange Bowl game with his Clemson defense against him. I personally would be okay with he being our DC.
