Aaron Suttles said on the Bama and Bourdon podcast with Lance Taylor that he would lean toward Grantham being the guy at DC, but his confidence level in that feeling/lean isn’t great.

From Suttles’ view, Pruitt may be an analyst but the chances of him becoming DC are low at this point.

What a fall for Bama, if Grantham is indeed the hire.

I hate this because I can’t stand him, but I’d rather have kept mouth breathing Golding. Out of the possible home run hired this feels like a foul out.

Yeah, I didn’t think it was possible for us to make a hire that would make me want Golding back, but hiring Grantham as DC would do just that.

To me, hiring Grantham as DC also indicates big issues for the program. It means Saban either didn’t pursue or can no longer attract high quality candidates for the coordinator positions. I will feel the most pessimistic I’ve felt about the program since 2007.

Was Grantham DC at Florida in 2020?
I rewatched the 2020 SECCG and Sark worked that defense. Several times in the game UF was caught in the wrong coverage or just a bad defense.
The play right after Metchie recovered the fumble was a guffaw producing bust. They left Devontae absolutely wide open. Yeah I want more of that. LOL.

He's had some good defenses, and he's had some bad ones.

I honestly still think that it'd be an upgrade over Pete.

They also worked UGA's defense that season, as well as everyone else.

What concerns me the most about Grantham is how undisciplined his defenses are. And, our discipline on defense is something that started slipping under PG.

If Grantham is the hire I think it's time to really start looking at a succession plan.

He is reporting whatever’s hearing behind the scenes because Fowler is reporting the same info.

This would be a nightmare.

How the hell do you take so damn long for every coordinator hire and come up with Tosh Lupoi, Pete Golding and league wide known re-tread disappointment Todd Grantham?

Did he not learn anything from hiring Marrone and O'Brien two years ago??

Man I have tried to not get twisted and turned in thus stuff but the more time goes the more I worry Saban is about to end his career with this next hire.
