It’s even worse. 20-10 versus power 4 opponents.
It would be better if the 10 losses came from G5 opponents instead?

It’d be better for fewer losses to exist.

His record is X, but guess what? If we only include more difficult opponents... it gets worse! He's one of those coaches who doesn't do as well against better competition.

It’s genuinely fricking dumb how bad this board has gotten.
This is the stupid shite we’re talking about. Can’t even fact check your damn claims.
He’s 2-2 against Kirby, 3-0 against Lanning, 2-0 against Sarkisian. His “bad” records are 0-1 against Cignetti and 1-2 against Huepel now. At least one of Huepel is just blatantly at Milroe’s feet.
That’s still wildly better than Kiffin’s record but y’all will glaze him like he’s a Cinnabon.
But sure, let’s take the 50 year old coach with a wildly strong record despite limited head coaching years and throw him to the curb. Let’s just hire bumblefrick McGee from Tulane and run back 6-6 seasons for two decades like Texas. God forbid we watch DeBoer grow as a coach with a program he’s bought into.
Y’all can’t fathom anything other than a natty every year, Saban broke you.

You’ll get some nonsensical response about hiring Cignetti, who’s currently struggling with Northwestern and Nebraska in the B1G in year three.
They’ve stopped chirping Lanning, Sark, Kiffin, etc. since they’re struggling.
Probably throw in a Will Stein angle now for the few weeks until Kentucky stops winning OT games.

It's wild when you think of how everything has changed in the last 5-7 years.
Names that used to be considered "hot" are no longer whispered. Saban, Harbaugh, and Meyer left for various reasons.

How's that going for us? We've had a sqeaker win against OU and got our arse handed to us against Indiana.... After getting our asses handed to us by UGA in SEC Champ.
To be fair, everyone got their arse handed to them playing Indiana. It was ugly (and hope I never see it again), but the Tide could have beaten other programs last year, if Ty hadn't gotten hurt, it would be interesting to see.
Not saying we accept this as the new standard, getting into the playoffs. Just that they require a team peaking at the right time, no critical injuries, and some favor by the scheduling gods.

Well you will never know until we try. As of right now, we are in the same boat as Auburn this season and could very well lose to them.
Yall are forgetting we have far more talent than most.

We are also in the same boat as Texas and LSU. UGA is several blown calls away from them being the 2 loss team and us the 1 loss team. Ohio State is an unforced foot out of bounds away from being a 2 loss team, and now they are without their starting QB.
That is to say, pretty much all of the most talented teams in cfb with the best coaches are struggling with consistency this season. and injuries. Sign o the times.

There really is though. We can’t let the program crumble away while plugging our ears and saying there’s no one else.

Dan Lanning is never coming. Sark isn't coming and he's faltered a bit down the stretch. Zero reason for them to be so mediocre. Kiffin I wouldn't want and I don't see it ever happening.
None of those are doing any better at the moment.

Agreed but I get the feeling that there is a sizable number of our fans who think there is another Nick out there. There's not. There is NO ONE who is Nick out there. Cignetti is poor man's version of Nick but he's NOT Nick.
With NIL, the landscape has changed so much that I don't know that we'll ever see one team be as dominant as Bama was for a while there. Doesn't matter who the coach is.
Frankly, IMO, there is no coach out there that I'm really blown away by with his coaching style. None. There are a few good ones but not that many.

Sir you're underestimating the BSC
Bama Sunshine Club
His staff is a huge indication of his problem. Who on this staff has any accomplishments?
The OL Coach might be a good hire. The rest not so much.

Texas hasnt won shite in forever and will likely fire Sark. LSU just fired their coach for the same shite.
You saying we are in the same boat just proves we need to fire DeBoer. Untl we in the same boat as
Georgia, Ohio State, and Indiana every year then we arent doing enough.

I'm not happy with the program, but there's no other alternative. This is just useless complaining, which I guess is what message boards are for.
Yeah folks need to understand that firing him would just cost us millions. They need to be realistic. But, if we complain enough, maybe the coordinators might start looking for other jobs. Sark might need a job in the near future, and Jeremy Pruitt could possibly be allowed to come back next season? I think those two would be nice upgrades

Yep, those that would look at a 7-5 season and point out something minuscule and insignificant as progress.

You know we could have an opening for him as offensive coordinator.
