John Longshore nails it. “That is one of the most pathetic attempts in Alabama history”

Hard to argue with any of what was said. Definitely going to be an interesting off season.

Milroe has 2 games left, of course Bama will never win a national title with him. Not much of a insight.

Unless he decides to return next year. Is his draft stock still high enough for him to declare for the draft?

If the response to this from DeBoer is anything other than "best of luck at your next program young man" he needs to fricking go. Can't do this shite another year expecting him to suddenly get it and start playing like Lamar. It's never going to happen.

I mean, guys around here were getting downvoted to all hell for saying our ceiling was limited with Milroe two years ago

We can beat the hell out of a weak defense but the second we run into a coordinator with a pulse it’s a struggle and our defense has to carry our offense

If DeBoer allows Milroe to return he should be fired on the spot. Not joking at all.

If not DeBoer needs to announce it’s open competition for the starter spot

Muh locker room won’t let anyone but Milroe play

4 needs to be done here. We have double the data points needed to come to a conclusion that he just isn’t the answer at QB. Way too volatile.

That SHOULD have been done when arrived.

Bingo. DeBoer should’ve had a legitimate quarterback competition in the spring. We might not be in the position that we’re in now.

Nah, it's the coaches (Saban included) who gave into the "locker room pressure" to start Milroe over a more competent and well-rounded QB that can run the entire offense. DeBoer is going to have to let his balls drop and make it clear that players do not decide who starts and who doesn't. If they want to leave, don't let the door hit you in the arse on your way out. BE A DAMN LEADER!

I'll be right there with you on the barricades ... if you and everyone else who says this will commit to you will willingly accept the consequences and don't scream like stuck elephants, when we're 6-6 and suffering some temporary pain for the greater good of the program, that "it's not acceptable for us not to be in the playoffs every, single, solitary year, fire the coach!"

Absolutely agreed. DeBoer has been left with the mess that Saban created and refused to clean up. Saban should have taken care of the situation last year. He bowed to the LANK posse instead.

He , Bryne, and Nick should have made that call last winter the week after he signed. Go ahead and clean the house then and take the lumps this season instead of allowing it the continue into 2025.

Yep. That would have been the best long term solution.

Easy to say now when the biggest priority at the time was retaining as much of the roster and upcoming recruiting class as possible.

This coming offseason is a different story, though.
