It was a chore for me to watch Hurts play quarterback at Alabama and it was miserable watching Milroe. I was in the camp that Hurts would not make it in the NFL. He proved us wrong. Hurts is a football guy and got with the right team and coaching staff. He had a great Super Bowl and deserved MVP. Philadelphia would have won that game with many different quarterbacks. I have never seen a better team effort. I really liked what they did with that team and Hurts said after the game they filled two or three gaps from the previous year. Hurts understands football. Milroe not so much. Philadelphia has my attention like the Vince Lombardi/Bart Starr Packers.

I'm just happy he's moved on and I hope he has a great NFL career.
I am too because his talent is the bait that kept trapping us and we'd be wasting another year hoping he would put it together then watching as he unravels mid-season.
My point was the nonsense these people created in their heads was false.
Well unless Milroe is also threatening these NFL anaylst and scouts with mutiny of Alabama if they don't rate him highly?
The guy is extremely talented. That is why Saban and KDB chose him. He is just also mentally fragile with bad mechanics.
Hey maybe if Saban actually hired a decent QB coach and OC instead of Bill O'Brien all the QBs that spent time with him would have stunted growth. See Bryce Young who is just developing, see Milroe who just started learning to actually place his feet the last two years, see Ty Simpson who should have taken the job from Milroe but couldn't because his development wasn't where it needed to be.

I don't know why a team would take him in the first round because he definitely is not day 1 starter ready, and probably needs 2-3 years of development still, but I hope they do so Bama can use that in recruiting.

He's the most explosive mediocre running QB of all time.

He's fast. That's it. His vision is subpar. He hands it off when he should keep and keeps when he should hand it off. He's also just as likely to run himself into a tackle as he is to avoid it.

I hope they're right.
I'm glad he's not our QB anymore.

Those coaches and scouts must be trying to trick other coaches. He had good college rushing numbers but Newton, Manziel, Daniels, Vick, Lamar, and many more were all much better runners at QB. He's got great speed but is mediocre at other aspects of running

Milroe will go down as the biggest enigma of a QB that I’ve ever seen.
- Big & Strong but not physical and would shy away from contact
- Smart individual but might be the worst in game processor I’ve ever seen at QB
- Faster than anyone else on the field but has absolutely zero instincts or vision
- Rocket for an arm but zero touch

Well said . Hope it works out for him but just could never figure him out . Truly a weird situation .

Any NFL coaching staff who solves that enigma should be carried around in sedan chairs for the rest of their lives. It may be that substantial a challenge.

I’ve tried to come up with something other than the “all of the players would quit” if Milroe didn’t start every game or Simpson was no better as to why he stayed the starter for two years.
Milroe has a terrible at Tennessee but starts the next game, same with Oklahoma. Maybe he was a practice warrior who got everything better in practice but stunk it up during the games. Now this doesn’t explain why he wasn’t benched during some games, just trying to hope there are better reasons.

Jackson Dart is no longer attending the draft. Sanders is also not attending, so I'm very surprised Milroe is still attending. He is ranked below both of those quarterbacks in a lot of people's mock drafts.

I predict Milroe doesn't attend the draft green room.

In a recent interview Deboer said Jalen would attend because a couple of his teammates would go in the first round and that he wanted to be there for them even if he is no selected. It just the type of guy he is.
