Is this the worst defense you've ever seen by a Nick Saban coached team? Totally unprepared and out coached.

I’ve said it all season.

Even worse than 2007.

The lack of depth at key positions, especially edge rusher finally caught up to us. Young secondary as well. Plus losing some guys there along the way.

This seasons defense is very very bad. Q is great. That’s it. It’s pretty much crap at every other part.

Mack Wilson...Jesus Christ he sucks. Saivion Smith....sheesh

Yeah, I love Jennings but when he's your best edge rusher in the last game of the season things have gone badly somewhere along the way.

Funny you mention 2007 because I am willing to make the argument that they are more talented but more pussified than 2007, this D quit tonight and it made me lose alot of respect for them, oh well just some college kids in a game.

What was going on with Buggs? He looked slow as molasses.

He played just about every defensive snap. Dude was gassed.

I think Buggs is still hurt from the Auburn game.

Lack of inner fortitude, they honestly looked defeated mentally.

Yep, it was pretty much said by many Bama fans that this is one of his worst. I mean we gave up 31 to an atrocious Arkansas team

Yea. I admit I was wrong. I really thought they would get it together over the season but it is really bad.

Just not able to overcome the loss of Lewis, Allen, then Miller and Jennings was not completely his old self after his late injury from last year. No depth to the LBs or DL.

Losing the entire DB group from last year hurt more than anyone gave it credit for when Thompson and Mckinney started the year playing so good. Especially, hurtful was the injury of Trevon and move of Smith back to starter.

Having so many injuries and early entries to NFL for several years in a row has decimated the D and it will take a bit and some luck to get the D back to where it should be.... (NOT to mention the need for Tosh to grow up really quickly).

Dont forget the distraction of Coaching exit rumors every 2 minutes
In summary, think this was truly a very bad D... and was made worse when they came out to play against LSU and MsSt and made everyone think...hmmm maybe we were wrong and the D is really good???? Well, that answer is a big no!!!

At least, there should be some relief in Punting soon. There should be some kid who will walk on and take care of punting, if MAC decides to go pro and not stay to take the Punting duties

They looked gassed in the second quarter after being on the field a whopping 6 minutes.

This is as bad as I’ve seen one play. 13 was pretty bad but when they got shredded by A&M and Oklahoma it was never as easy as Clemson made it look. That was the problem. It looked like clemson was playing that South Carolina defense that had their whole team injured. They didn’t even make one play. Worst performance on that side of the ball in a long tome.

I kept waiting for the D to make a play to get us back in it....obviously never came. Disappointing.

This season the pass rush was supposed to be a strength but due to injury that was nullified. The bad part is that caused our secondary to go through some trials including tonight. The good part is the secondary will learn and this may be the beginnings of one of the best secondaries we have had.
