Why or why not?

Personally, I think he's the guy if Dabo doesn't take the job.

If not Dabo, my wishlists are Matt Rhule and Matt Campbell

But Cristobal is recruiting his arse off and has Oregon playing well and physical

No, because of the way he bends his cap bill.

He's arguably the best recruiter of the Saban era.

If not then...

As of today I'd definitely have those 2 on my shortlist.

Of course, who knows in 3-4 years.

Great recruiter but didn't seem to be my favorite coach - I guess I'd be fine with him going the Dabo / Ed O - CEO strategy

His game management would make Andy Reid and Les Miles look like Bill Belichick

This is a dream but I hope we get an offensive minded coach and Pruitt comes back as a career DC.

No, I don’t think I would want Cristobal.

I don't think any of the decision-makers wants Dabo. It'll be tough to go from a CEO coach who's the face of CFB, to a goofy, awe-shucks guy who plays up the southern accent.

Look for Saban to have a say.

As someone who followed Cristobal since his days at FIU, I'll plass. Bama recruits itself, I'd rather have a hc that has strong x & o fundamentals. Also, I prefer my coaches from midwest or northeast for obvious reasons.

Matt Rhule is a stud. He's great on both defense and offense. Anytime you come across a coach like that, you know he's a winner. Belicheck was the same way.

Always been a fan of Matt Campbell, Ohio boy from Mt. Union (a program that produces them). He's winning at freakin' ISU, folks.

Darkhorse candidates: Joe Brady (even though he's from FLorida) and Jim Leonhard, dc of Wisconsin.

Hire a non-recruiter and see how long that lasts.

but not Nick Saban level recruiting. For that matter, not even Kirby Smart or Dabo Swinney level recruiting, though up till the last couple of classes not even Dabo was recruiting as well as Saban at Alabama level.

I like Mario. He should be on the list. I like PJ Fleck. I love the Colts OC Nick Sirianni

Fleck is another good one, he's turning Minnesota around. I try to stay away from NFL guys unless they're on the rebound like Bill O'Brien will be in a few years. With that said, Nick is also a Mount Union alum.

we are not hiring an OC or a DC that is not a proven winner as a HC. and he would be a college coach and not anyone in the pros who has not got experience at college recruiting

It will be Dabo. Dabo is the only person cocky enough to follow Saban because he has beaten him twice. He's Bama through and through, no doubt about it. Give him $12M a year and we won't miss a beat.

You really think Dabo would come to Bama after Saban retires?? I could be wrong but I think by the time Saban retires Dabo will be so ingrained at Clemson it'll be almost impossible to pry him away..
