He also has a strong track record with identifying and successfully recruiting elite D-linemen. Pretty much every stop he has made he has helped sign some really, really good ones.
Muschamp turned Auburn from one of the worst trained defenses I've ever seen into a solid unit in 12 months. On top of that he is a great evaluator and recruiter of defensive football players.
And finally, he'd probably be around for 2-3 years after a 2nd disastrous HC run. And he and Saban truly like eachother and working with eachother from all reports.
The only problem here is it doesn't sound like he's going anywhere.

Dave Aranda
I have never seen him mentioned. Why would we even want him? He is worse than Golding

Auburn only had 350 yards total for the game and their offense only scored 31 legit points.
Auburn averaged 5.45 YPP and scored 31 frickin points
Oregon - 5.11 YPP
Texas A&M - 4.75 YPP
Florida - 4.41 YPP
LSU - 4.16 YPP
Georgia - 3.83 YPP
Alabama - 5.45 YPP
Our defense wasn't good. It wasn't "the reason" we lost, but it wasn't good.

What about Charlie Strong? He’s been bad since he left Louisville as a head coach, but he was great as a DC at Florida.

This...this is supposed to be a positive? Auburn's offense was bad all season until they ran into Pete Golding and the 4 Mississippi delayed blitz.
It's supposed to be a clue you're barking up the wrong tree.

And they lost to Ron Zook's UF team. Comparing SEC then to now is a mistake. CFB has changed a great deal.

Meanwhile Alabama ran up 515 yards and 45 points against what was supposed to be a much better defense with a backup QB.

Parker? Jim Leonhard is more realistic.

Yea I thought Sark had a nice plan, Najee was a frickin warrior, the offensive line was fantastic and Mac gave us all he had. He had one awful throw and one unlucky throw.
We also committed 3 or 4 brutal penalties, as usual, including 2 of the final drive that were big reasons why we were forced into a 30 yard field goal.

Another 4-3 guy. Think they switched to a 3-3-5 though

Boom has put together high achieving defenses at LSU, Texas, and Florida. One of the best DCs in college football.

We gotta get someone in here that can coach up the fundamental.

And player discipline. Well that should be on Saban

Would someone explain to me why we have to get in shoving matches and when someone throws a punch hit back? I wanted to grab Terrell Lewis' facemask through the TV screen yesterday, LET THEM HIT YOU !
Every time there was a dustup, here he came. This is just a lack of discipline on his part. At least Christian Barmore, who is usually in the middle of it and is another one, backed off.
There should NEVER, EVER be offsetting personal foul penalties. You hurt the team when you do this. It gives away 15 yards.

Dave Aranda ain't coming here. Boe should he.
It appears Muschamp ks.firing errrbody to get another year. He was my first instinct choice.
Now, no idea who would be worth a frick. I mean we fired Tosh for Golding. Obviously it wasnt just Tosh. At least Tosh was getting guys here.

Derrick Ansley? Co-Coordinator at Tennessee under Pruitt. Was here from 16-17 coaching DB’s IIRC.

Why not get someone with an NFL pedigree?
