Boz,

Hearing Golding is gone and probably won't coach the bowl game. Is this true?

Did Saban go off on coaches and team last night? Will we go after Jimmy Lake again?

Hope so. Injuries and youth don't cut it as an excuse in game 12.

Get someone who can try to scheme against Malzahn. I'm tired of seeing that cornball offense rip up our defense.

Somebody in another thread said Jimmy Lake turned us down. Seems doubtful we contacted him already though.

I'd be surprised. I mean, it is what it is at a certain point. What effect would he be hoping to get going forward after the game is over.

Its probably a better time for some emotional calm and reflection on the direction of the program.

This is the same D we have had for two years. It played well enough to win, but Tua wasn't on the field to overcome it's more glaring shortcomings and stab the opponent in the heart when they had the chance.

Hopefully some changes are coming. I did really enjoy the balance on offense last night with the run and the pass.

I’m tired of the Jimmy Lake and Dave Aranda hiring talk. They have been down that road and we always get played. So, let’s see what Boom wants. I would call Glenn Schumann (UGA LB Coach), Morgan Scalley (Utah DC), or Jeff Halfey (OSU). We need to pick our man and pull a Mal Moore. Stay on the tarmac and not leave until we get our man.

Hard pass on Lake. It's been known he shares dc duties with another coach.

Utah's dc is a risk b/c who's to say he's really running the defense there?

I'm not sold on Muschamp. Who's to say USCe fires him, and if they do...does he want to work for Saban again.

Secondly, he didn't exactly impress when he was at Auburn as DC

That being said, I'd take him over Golding at this point

We didn't get played. We didn't offer up enough bread.

Muschamp is one of the best. Players love playing for him and guys seem to catch on in his system.

He’d be the closest comparison to Pruitt.

He was the DC at LSU when Saban won the BCS Title there then he went with Saban to Miami.

So........

Plenty of 40+ point games in Boom's dc tenure at LSU.

At LSU Boom won a national championship. That defense had Marquise Hill, Lionel Thomas, Marcus Spears, etc.

Auburn only had 350 yards total for the game and their offense only scored 31 legit points.

14 of their points came from pick 6's and 3 came off a FG that shouldn't have happened.

What about UAB's DC David Reeves? Zach Arnett at San Diego State? Brian Borland at Buffalo? Phil Parker at Iowa?

He also has a strong track record with identifying and successfully recruiting elite D-linemen. Pretty much every stop he has made he has helped sign some really, really good ones.

This...this is supposed to be a positive? Auburn's offense was bad all season until they ran into Pete Golding and the 4 Mississippi delayed blitz.
