Raining like hell in Tuscaloosa. Can anyone tell me the best place to grab a meal on the strip?

Go downtown to the oyster house. Or Avenue Pub.

For a nice (but not too nice) sit dinner: Thai Basil.
Otherwise, there are plenty of chains that you probably know well. Strip is very corporate, not much local flavor there anymore. To the extent such exists, you're going to have to go past the federal building into downtown.

Wound up at Billy’s Sports Bar. It was raining like hell and no parking spots on the strip. Smash burger worked out just fine.

Oh yeah, I've had Billy's but in Mountain Brook (Vestavia?) years ago. It's a nice little sports bar.

Really surprised no one's dropped a Glory Hole joke yet...

Hell yes. My wife wanted a World Cup inspired meal one night during the tournament, so I made Messi Fries.
