Texas may be one of about 5 programs that would swallow hard and take the financial hit a buyout would cost this year. But nobody’s doing it without a slam dunk upgrade ready to take over. I don’t see that out there unless they’ve convinced Dabo or Saban to leave their present job. Firings just aren’t gonna happen this year.

Boosters pay buyouts and he's only under contract for another year anyway. He gone.

Pruitt?! Man stop. After Tennessee Pruitt will be a high profile DC again.

I agree. I had hoped Pruitt would prove to be a good head coach because he's Alabama and evidently he's a really good recruiter. I am beginning to seriously doubt it's ever going to happen.

But don't you think at least some of UT's problems are the result of meddling boosters too like the Haslams and the rehiring of Phat Phil? I am not making excuses for Pruitt but I think there's at least a smattering of too many cooks in the kitchen.

Yeah, boosters pay the buyouts. Their cash isn't flowing as freely either. Mark my words, firings will be down tremendously this off season.

I don't think Texas' boosters will have an issue with paying for Herman's buyout.

I don't think anyone gets fired this year

It's going to be a really hard sell job to convince boosters fans admin etc that its the best thing that millions be paid to a staff to not coach. Admins are figuring how to make sure other sports/staff are not cut. Boosters are already being asked to help with replacing the lost revenue ...so adding more when another lock down is possibleb says to me...no coach is getting fired. There may be a couple that take NFL jobs or retire andthat creates some openings but no firings. Bama is getting 5 home games at 20k a game. That's 1 normal season's gameday crowd. That's apx 14% of the normal ticket revenue

Sark has a history of drug and alcohol abuse.

Kiffins an arse, but LMAO at being more attractive based on personality.

Bryant was an alcoholic but I'd take a middle aged Bryant again tomorrow if Saban retired.

I think the big name head coaches know to stay away from Texas because of their boosters meddling. And an up and comer like Herman was isn't going to tell them to go away.

You need someone like a Saban to tell them it's his way or no way. And there's only one Saban lol

Texas is probably already checking on Urban Meyer's interest.

Bryant didn't have large booster events and anywhere close to the national coverage that coaches have now.

Sark in part was fired because he was barred out on xanax and drinking at a booster event.

I’m pretty sure Sarkisian is past all that or Saban wouldn’t still have him around. He could probably have taken a head coaching job for this season but thankfully he was paid well enough not to do it

To be honest if Harbaugh shits the bed against anybody not name OSU.I would worry about Stark
as that would be a great fit for him.
