If there is anyone in here that has any say so......I think it should happen. Other than Saban....he has done more for Alabama than any other person. He was a champ coach and a champ AD. Let's make it happen.

I disagree. He should have a statue in front of the Athletic Offices. Walk is for HCs.

Instead of "on", I'm envisioniong something showing him as a key person behind 3 of the coaches that are on the walk of champions. Kind of a man supporting those 3. I'm not creative enough to come up with exact details but I'm sure someone with a more createive mind could.

I couldn't help but laugh thinking about the irony of this when compared to Pat Dye Field at JHS.

A field named after a man who had a hand in 10 NC's versus a field named after a man who lost his pants down by the lake.

Naming the field after him is a good idea. Not only was he a great AD he really represented this university better than anyone could've asked.

There's also no rule that says an Alabama figure can only have his name on one thing.

i.e. Bryant-Denny Stadium and Bryant Hall/Denny Chimes

The football building already named after him. I find it suitable.

it ends with a Mal Moore quote... I've never seen that before. It gives me goosebumps now

Great video. Thanks for posting it.

As far as further naming of anything after him, he was a part of great successes in more than just football. Doing the field or anything limited to football does a disservice imo. He loved the University as a whole and if something is done, I hope its done as something that is representative of his role in his contributions to all of the University, including what he helped accomplish in helping academically along with athletically.

Mal Moore's statue is at the end of the Walk Of Champions. It holds 100,000 people.
