You can win a lot of games with simple superior talent but when it comes to crunch time, the team with the elite QB will win the game. Alabama does not have an elite QB.

He played very poor against Auburn, Georgia and now Michigan. We can still win games with superior talent but save this post for future reference, Alabama can not win a NC with Milroe. Said the same exact thing about Hurts and I was correct then and I am correct now.

Good night all. Glad I was saving my money to go to the championship game. Would have puked if I witnessed this game in person.

We’ll never win a national title with Milroe at QB. He’s too deficient in the passing game to ever stress championship level defenses enough.

Yeah I wonder what improvements he makes next year. But he's so limited in the passing game at times. Pretty frustrating

Exactly. If I were Rees, I’d get out of town before Milroe kills his career.

If he figures out how to hit short throws he will be a great QB. The fact that he hasn't figured this out already is not a great sign.

Hard to win a national championship without elite players at skill positions.

I’ll never even follow the recruiting rankings again. It’s all horse shite.

He can hit certain short throws…if that’s his primary read. The number of guys WIDE OPEN over the middle the last few games that he didn’t see at all is horrific.

But he "won the team" so he can't be replaced.

I don’t ever want to see LANK again.

Love the guy, but Milroe thought he had climbed the mountain when he hadn’t

I blame the shitty play calling more than Milroe. The OL and Defense played like crap for half the game and looked unprepared. It’s Rees job to put Milroe in a position to win by calling a good game. His game plan was terrible and he calls were baffling at times. Don’t even get me started on the whole OT sequence. He should be fired and left at the airport for that last play alone.

All I will say is I agree Rees doesn't always put us in the best position to succeed but I mean your QB has got to be able to make reads and switch protections at this level. He is still slow processing, making decisions and seeing open receivers. He has to help the OC out some as well. Im behind him and I'll always be pulling for him. RTR!

I think Milroe is “pretty good” but he is not elite. I’m sorry but he’s not. And no, I don’t “hate” Milroe. I just don’t think he’s good enough to win it all. Can Alabama win a NC with him as QB?

Yes, Bama will have plan around his limitations to win it all. Is Rees good enough of an OC to do that? Not sure but he did a poor job tonight.

I love Milroe, but we have the ball with a minute and change. He throws a deep crosser about 3 seconds late. It is incomplete. If he sees that 2-3 seconds faster we are in Michigan territory. Instead, we go three and out. He was bad tonight. Let’s call a spade a spade.
