Milroe isn’t even remotely close to ever being an NFL MVP let alone a starter and never has been.

I could put together a highlight reel from this season that would absolutely show Jalen as the undisputed #1 pick in the draft. I could also put together a highlight reel that shows he's undraftable. He's so Jekyll and Hyde that you never know what you're getting. His highs are absolutely elite and his lows are costing you games.

Doubt he has the stones to do that. This gathering of players is soft, weak, coddled, and overall bad football to watch. Attitude reflect leadership, captain.

Milroe will be a professional quarterback. For the Birmingham Stallions.

My guess is that if that happens Simpson has a couple turnovers and people lose their minds.

All this talk about Milroe not being able to play QB at the next level. I’d say BOB was on to something, Milroe should have switched positions.

You have to forget 2024. We're done. You have to take a peek at 2025 by giving some minutes to the backup(s) you have on the current roster. In would have been great if Bama could have kicked the azz of USF in the 1st half so the backup could have played some. Same vs Vandy and USCe but we know the story.

I am afraid this Saturday is going to be a very difficult day.

The real problem with Milroe, and one that's been heavily denied by the sunshine pumpers up until last week, is that we usually get both in the same game. He regularly disappears for entire quarters at a time- defense is usually decent enough to overcome it, but it's absolutely been a problem this whole time

One guy you mentioned has an extremely high football IQ. The other has basically none.

Jalen Hurts didn’t read a defense until he left Alabama.

He might be a high QB IQ guy now, but suggesting that was the case in Tuscaloosa is revisionist history.

Go rewatch those games. He was less functional than Milroe has been, he just wasn’t asked to do anything other than RPO and statistically he was actually far worse than Jalen as a QB during his time here.

Hurts was good his junior year after sitting and playing behind Tua. He was legit great against UGA in the SECCG.

Hurts was not a turnover machine like Milroe has become. At least not his sophomore year. The problem became he was risk averse and wouldn't throw the ball in tight spaces. If someone wasn't wide open, he wasn't throwing it.

Milroe, at his best, was a much better and more dangerous QB than Hurts. Milroe, at his worst, was a turnover machine who made terrible decisions.

Overall, not so much.

Against good teams... He might as well been. The number of three and outs against Clemson was sad.

Hurts had 1 INT in all of 2017.

Sark forgetting he still had a 1000 yard rusher in Damien Harris after Scarborough got hurt and calling a bunch of pass plays for a true freshman that wasn't a great passer was also pretty sad.

Which is why I was comparing that situation to this one.

Hurts 2016: 62.8 / 2780 / 7.3YPA / 23TD / 9 INT / 139rtg

Hurts 2017: 60% / 2081 / 8.2YPA / 17TD / 1 INT / 150 rtg

Milroe 2024: 68% / 1700 / 9.7YPA / 13TD / 6INT / 167rtg

As bad as Milroe has been in 2024, he’s having a better statistical season than any Hurts had in Tuscaloosa.

To be fair, Hurts was playing as a TF and sophomore whereas Milroe sat two years and his stats are being put up as a RS Soph and RS Jr.

Yeah, he was great, but it was nothing new. Still didn't want to stay in the pocket and could only roll right. Threw a couple of good passes that way and ran a TD for the dagger....but it was the same old Hurts.

Tbf he didn't really learn how to really read defenses until he was in his 2nd or 3rd year in the NFL. He started to improve in 2018 at Bama. Improved more at OU but people overplay how much he improved though. He dominated a bunch of crappy defenses in the Big 12 and the first defense he faced with a good amount of actual NFL talent (LSU) shut him down.

But like you mentioned he was a younger player. Milroe seems to have the understanding of a 2nd year Hurts that's relying purely on talent.

Hard to throw a pick when you roll right and throw the ball into the stands.

He’s a redshirt junior. I highly doubt a chunk of this team transfers to play with him at Maryland next year

If anyone is stupid enough to follow Milroe, they give zero fricks about their draft stock.
