And now ESPN just did a segment on the QB competition.

Dammit Jalen.

Odd comments at the end.

Might be a fake so I'll take it down.

At least Jalen’s mom decided to keep a cool head about this.....

Seriously, if Jalen has been this way for awhile, then he should’ve transferred after the Spring in order to avoid the drama and have a clean break. If he decided to stay, then he needs to be a part of the team and buy in. What he’s doing now isn’t helping anyone, including himself. It’s just asking for more trouble as the season goes on. I don’t know what the coaches have done to him but again, he put himself in the position of losing the job.

I understand the frustration but I don’t think his parents are helping the situation.

At least we won't have to worry about a split locker room. You just know that the team is behind Tua and have been for a while.

Today was the first day Tua went with the 1’s and Jalen went with the 2’s. Maybe he is having a hard time with that and the realization is coming to light for him. Could be his emotions got the best of him? Still didn’t help himself in any way.

after watching the practice videos of jalen and now his staring role with reporters. i'm convinced he already knows the deal. it's just a matter of whether he tries to divide the locker room, or not. jmo

Watching the video again, after being asked about Coach Saban requesting they keep it off social media, he says "the coaches don't control this situation", like he's going to show Saban he'll say what he wants to say.

I hope Saban has his arse on a plane to Texas tomorrow.

I read that as "the coaches don't attempt to regulate what we do. We're free to speak our minds."

Today's media access to Jalen and Tua was like a test -- Jalen flunked it and Tua aced it.

You’re right, but I don’t think is as damaging to the team as some people are believing..

Jalen came off as entitled in the interview. That's basically it. Of course the media is kissing his feet for "speaking his mind" but he was far from his best self.

1) I bet there were lots of guys on the team that didn't get asked how they "felt" during the spring.

2) Tua didn't talk to reporters during spring practice either.

3) The "narrative" was created by the performance of the two players down the stretch. Jalen is acting like it came from nowhere.

4) If Jalen truly did tell Saban prior to media days that he absolutely would be here this season, then Saban shouldn't have responded how he did at media days. That's the one point I'll concede to Jalen. That's assuming that he actually had that conversation.

Hopefully Jalen accepts whatever role he ends up with and can help in some way this year. I don't agree with those saying they hope he is gone tomorrow.

Of course not. The media and many fans have been utterly ridiculous about the whole QB battle thing. Drama queens.

Tua is the #1 QB. He has been since Jan 8th.

I cringe and laugh at the same time over the silly shitshow going on in the media and on message boards.

Well...I think it's safe to say that Saban will go OFF at the next presser. I'm ready for it lol, we haven't had a rant in a long time.

The "narrative" also came from his Dad

I have to blame this nonsense on Hurts’ father. He started this circus talk earlier this year. Cannot blame him bc as a father you want to see your son succeed.

It wasn’t fair to Jalen with what his father said. He, much like Lavar Ball, put his son in a worse spot than he should be in with his comments.

Not a good look for Jalen at all. The comment that probably most bothers me is the "the coaches never came to me and asked my feelings or what I was thinking." I'm sorry, but communication is a 2 way street and he knows where Saban's office, Locksley's office or even where Enos' office is. If he had concerns, he had plenty of time to go and express those feelings and concerns long before today!! Saban said, "win the team! Don't say or do this to put yourself before the team!"

This is probably the first time that I saw where immaturity and Jalen went hand in hand.

No way in hell Saban will tolerate a divided locker room.
