Right now I’m leaning the Hulu bundle. There are a whole lot of channels on YouTube that I don’t even watch. Which way should I go for sports in the fall?

I don't like Hulu. But if you have kids, Disney+ is good to have.

I cut my cable this spring too

I had Hulu last year and didn't like it. You can try the Youtube TV trial and see if you like it.

Love my YouTube TV account. I’ve posted on this board during live sports with no noticeable delay. Plus the picture quality is typically great

I have the Hulu bundle and we like it.

Getting ESPN+ for free is awesome during baseball season. I was able to watch almost every single Alabama game this season.

ETA: I subscribe to HBO through Hulu so I get HBO Max, too.

I like YouTubeTV DVR for sports cause it has the catch up to live by watching key plays feature. When I think of a movie I want to watch I also just search it in YoutubeTV and like it and it records next time it is on TV if it is not already available on demand. Hulu is probably fine.

Just pricing it out if you don't have any special deals (If you can get a deal on HBO Max with one get it, it has the best content to me of any streaming service I use for non live TV, You can get HBO Max through YouTubeTV as well as Hulu as Saint mentioned)-

Hulu, Disney Espn - $72
Unlimited DVR and/or No Adds if you want $10-$15
Total = $82-87 (This may be a little less depending on how they bundle No Ads, Live TV with Disney and ESPN)

YoutubeTV (Unlimited DVR-6 screens) - $65
Hulu Disney, ESPN bundle separate $13 (with ads) - 20 (no adds).
Total $78-85.

Really about the same price.

I pay an additional 11 dollars per month on YoutubeTV for the Sports Tier from September to December, primarily for Redzone.

NFL RedZone
FOX College Sports
GOLTV
FOX Soccer Plus
MAVTV Motorsports Network
TVG / TVG2
Stadium

Of course you could always just get Kodi .

I personally have Youtube TV. Paid for Disney Plus for 3 years up front for 4 dollars a month and am on a deal for Hulu with ads for 2 dollars a month. No ESPN+, have HBOMax from an outside source . When my Disney deal is up I will likely switch to the 13 dollar plan with Hulu, ESPN and Disney or find some other deal somewhere.

I love YoutubeTV. The issue i'm having is that I have a Roku streaming stick and it won't let me watch A&E. A&E doesn't recognize YoutubeTV as a "tv provider" in their options.

Do you have a new tv where you don't need to buy a streaming device for Hulu or YTTV? I like Roku but their issue with google is kind of disappointing. Another option is Chromecast from Google.

I'm back with Sling because youtube and Roku had a scuffle and now you can't get the youtube TV app on Roku. There are workarounds, but I'm a man of principle.

I didn't think A&E was part of the YTTV channel lineup.

It's not but you can download/add the A&E app on to your tv and can watch shows from their lineup. It's just not live tv

Right. Roku not letting you access the free app content without inputting a service provider is weird. Guess the smart TVs were a good investment . Then again I don't every watch A&E.

ETA: You made me curious so I downloaded the A&E app on the one RokuTV we have in the house and the free content was available but of course that isn't the stick. Newer stuff was blocked and you needed the provider but the older stuff I could watch. That is weird with the Roku Sticks.

I have had both. My recommendation would be YouTube. Unlimited DVR is great (although it does auto delete after like 9 months) and unless Hulu has dramatically changed their interface it's a pain in the arse to use. YouTube's is very easy.

YouTubeTV, despite all the increases in price, is still fantastic. The unlimited DVR, easy channel changing, availability on almost all devices and ease to use on phone/tablet/computer/TV is unbeatable.

I was perfectly happy with out the Viacom channels. I was not amused when they added them and upped the price .

They've definitely started yanking all our chains the last 12-18 months with the shite channel additions and the price bumps every 3-4 months.

But, every time I look around to see if I want to switch I come back and realize it's still the best product and value.

True, honestly I miss Playstation Vue. Not as many bells and whistles but similar and cheaper. That was my fave but honestly other than the recent price jumps, I have been more than satisfied with YTTV.

Heck yea - I loved Vue. My wife used to laugh at me because we'd switch new streaming cable services every 3 months or so. We did Sling, Vue and DirectTV before we finally got YouTube TV and stuck with it.

I don't have live tv at all, but do have Hulu with ads, Disney+, ESPN+. Disney+ gets tons of use. The others? Not so much.
