I'm yet another Youtube TV fan. George pretty much nailed what's really good about it.

I don't have Hulu with live TV, but from what I've seen with the plain old Hulu, the interface/viewing experience isn't nearly as slick as Youtube TV.

Lastly, if you've got a Verizon unlimited plan you may already have Hulu (without live TV), Disney+, and ESPN+. It's a free benefit to most of their unlimited plans but you have to opt in. That's how I get ESPN+.

I haven’t tried YouTube but up until we moved last October, we had Hulu live. I liked the content and was perfectly happy but towards the end, it seemed like they were having bandwidth issues. The picture started pixelating and freezing quite a bit. Not weather related either, it could be perfectly clear days or rainy, didn’t matter. Maybe they have fixed it or maybe it was a local problem but it was very annoying.

I just took advantage of T-Mobile's offer (during June) for their 5G home internet users: YouTube TV for $54.99/mo (it's a permanent $10-off/mo. discount, but no long-term contract commitment is required).

I’m about fed up with the price of cable and looking to somehow reduce the cost. How is YouTube TV for basketball and football game days? On a normal game day, I’m flipping constantly between games unless Alabama is playing and then my tv doesn’t move. That being a hassle or the picture being glitchy are the two biggest holdups for me right now.

YouTubeTV is great for sports. To reduce costs, also checkout T-Mobile. I'm over age 55 so I get reduced rates from them: unlimited 5G phone at $50/mo, unlimited 5G home internet (for wifi/TV streaming) at $50/mo, plus YouTubeTV service (via T-Mobile) for 3 devices at $54.99/mo. No additional fees or taxes are added onto those. My 55+ discounts are $20/mo on phone and $20/mo on internet, plus the $10/mo discount on YouTube TV adds up to $50/mo, $600/yr total savings, plus no additional fees or taxes.

I can't speak for other areas, but in a big city with good internet there is absolutely no picture quality/glitch issues. It's like watching cable TV.

I mean to be honest I barely even remember what having a cable box is like, so when I go to a hotel or the beach or something it's always a bit of a "oh yea".

No issues here in the Northeast. If you tap down while watching something it has all your recent channels you have flipped from, so I usually find all the games I want to watch in a particular block, do a quick run through so they are in my recent channel spots and flip back and forth effortless. Also since it has watch by catching up with key plays before going live you can pretty much always know what is going on in a game you have left for a while. It isn't perfect but 90% of the time that catch up feature gives you everything you missed that you needed. That key play feature was also great for replaying awesome Bama TDs over and over again.

I’m doing my YouTube free trial right now but I like it for the most part other than no weather channel. Do any of y’all use another app or workaround to watch the weather channel? I need my hurricane season fix

You could always get an iptv with 10,000 channels for like $15/month. It's impossible for me to keep up with my Turkmenistani soap operas with Hulu or YouTube TV

I have. It's a good option as well. Similar to YTTV. I did a channel comparison and i felt it was missing some key sports channels though. Fubo TV doesn't have ESPN News or ESPNU or NBS Sports. Which is kind of important for college sports. They also don't have PBS or PBS kids which we enjoy for our kids.

WeatherNation. You’ll get actual weather instead of bad reality show reruns.

fubo does have espnu and news. if by nbs you mean like nbc and stuff then it has those too. perhaps you didnt see all its package options? yea no pbs, but pbs does have its own app that streams 24/7 for free as well. i like that fubo has its own sports network channels as well. they claim they will have their own sports betting on it eventually as well for any gamblers on here. just saying, worth considering.

Hmmm..i guess i wasn't looking at it properly. I thought i was comparing the $64.99 option with the same price of YTTV one and they didn't list the ESPNU or news one. I will have to check it out again

You have to pay extra for ESPNU, ESPNEWS and the SEC Network either by getting the higher cost plan or 8 dollars more with the lower tier plan.

youtube tv is the best imo.

I really like how you can customize the channels to fit the guide.

YouTubeTV, despite all the increases in price, is still fantastic. The unlimited DVR, easy channel changing, availability on almost all devices and ease to use on phone/tablet/computer/TV is unbeatable.

AT&T TV Now is the better deal. I switched to it from YTTV. It’s different from AT&T TV, which is not internet TV

It’s $75 a month ($10 more than YouTube TV), but you have free access to HBO ($15/month value) and Cinemax ($10 month value). And you get all of the Fox Regional Networks to watch Braves/Hawks games.

So if

- Braves
- Hawks
- HBO
- Cinemax

Is worth the extra $10 a month to you, it’s well worth it.

I was already paying for HBO, so I was able to cancel my subscription and just use AT&T TV to HBO. That alone gave it better value. So in my case, I was paying $5/month less to get more/better channels, plus a ton of good movies on Cinemax.

AT&T TV NOW>>>>>>> YTTV

Around here that AT&T deal is 85 (HBO Max free for year, doesn't say it comes with Cinemax but could be built in)+10 for unlimited cloud so $95, but I am in a different market.
