Have you ever seen a program held hostage by one player?

I've never seen this at Bama. The Bear would sit someone, Saban would at one time sit a player...what the heck happened? Don't tell me it NIL because I've seen Sark sit his starting qb.

These coaches need to understand a player isn't bigger than the university. One player held this university hostage.

I can only assume the backups are trash but for frick's sake, they can't possibly be any worse.

It’s ridiculous to watch it happen. Almost nightmarish. He’s the worst and most divisive player to ever come through the program.

Except Saban didn’t sit him last year either. He had Simpson, Dylan, and Eli on the bench too. Milroe was played because he held the team together. Hopefully, he is gone, and we can see what happens next year. If not, then I’m out.

This… we’ll know the truth one day and I think it will shock us…

He did for the USF game

And what happened. Both QB’s crapped the bed, and we went back to Milroe. He was the best we got and that says a lot.

Not really a great example.

It would be almost impossible to install two offenses. So it seems like the decision was made early on, more that likely because Jalen chose to stay and help keep the majority of the team together, that the offense would be schemed for Jalen. I do believe the other qb's are better suited to run DeBoer's offense so we'll see in the spring if that pans out.

Saban benched Milroe last year after a terrible game against Texas. Milroe got better and lead Alabama to 9 straight wins, a SEC Championship and a playoff spot.

Terrible coaching this year.

Well, he did bench him for a game last year. Maybe one of the backups would have performed better and taken the reigns if given a game to start this year. We'll never know

Maybe he was the best. We'll never know because no one else was given an opportunity with the 1's this year.

I’ll accept this explanation as it make some sense, but it also is frustrating as hell.

Well, that's a lie. Milroe did't get better. Alabama was a 4th and 31 from not being in the playoffs. Dude is a trash arse qb and the very reason we are in this spot.

People say Remaster is an Auburn troll but I think he's just an old-fart fan who doesn't understand that the days of a Nick Saban type as coach are gone and never coming back, ever, and if people of his ilk are counting on that they're going to be tremendously disappointed because that world doesn't exist anymore. I wish I could block him, I try not to converse with him, but sometimes it's just like driving by a wreck, you have to stop LOL.

The right coach could have had this team at 11-1 and in the playoffs.

Saban wasn't needed, a good coach is needed. KD is not the man for the job. How can anyone look at the product he put on the field this year and say he is the man for the job?

Jesus Christ Himself couldn't have coached this team to 11-1 and a playoff berth.
