We might be top 10, but 2nd best we are not.

Who do you think is the 2nd best team?

I don't feel bad after last night. I never really feel bad after a win, but maybe a little uneasy if it's a game they probably should have dominated. 2001 Alabama beat Vandy 12-9. Nothing but field goals. That was a yeesh game for sure hahaha

Not for me.

It was the death of all hope I had for this season coming out of the bye week. I thought maybe just maybe we would see some personnel changes, and maybe they would look like a team that wanted to make a run at the SEC, but what we got was a 6 yard rushing, botched snaps, blown assignments, QB with grass stains all over every inch of his uni, lackluster, awful, awful performance in a revenge game vs a team decimated by injuries and quitters.

Yep this was the worst win ever for me.

Gene Stallings had a perfect quote years ago talking about Alabama winning a close game vs Southern Miss. I'm paraphrasing, but it was something along the lines of "If you think barely beating them is bad, try losing to them". I always try to remember that quote after games like this.

The problem is that there are a number of teams that have played convincingly for a couple of weeks, then not.
Alabama is in that group.

Alabama would be favored against any team

not named Georgia on a neutral field.

I booed for the first time in years, that was a pathetic performance against a lame duck team that had no business being on the field.

You booed after a win? Wow.

I guess tickets are going to be easy to come
by again when Nick retires.

Honestly I feel like changing BOB and Marrone is more crucial than getting a Golding replacement. Edit: BOB may be salvageable but Marrone has got to go.

Absolutely nailed it with this post.

Not even close. Beating a rival is always a good win, no matter the case.

I keep seeing this said about Marrone but he's only been here less than a season. How is it his fault that Pierce Quick, Amari Kight, Tommy Brown, etc.. weren't ready to step up and win the right tackle job? If Flood, who everyone seems to want back, had developed any of those guys we wouldn't have Chris Owens getting destroyed over there. Marrone may turn out to be a horrible hire but he's not to blame for the backup o-line's development the last couple of years.

Marrone has been at UA through spring camp, all summer and fall camp. Bama's OL roster had enough talent for him to put a better starting five on the field than he has.

So less than a full season then? You know the point I was trying to make.

Well the defense played really well and came up clutch against a decent offense. And we know the offense is better than what we showed. Both the offense and defense have had really good games just seldom on the same day. Lets just take the positives and move on. This team has an elite performance in them

Ive said it a million times and Ill say it again. We have 7 rookies starting in the NFL. The fact that we are arguably the 2nd best team in the country is an accomplishment

I think the actual quote was closer to “If you don’t think this game is important, try losing it.”

Little late to this, but last year's Ole Miss game was just as bad.

Easy to sort of white-wash that one because we went on to have an incredible season, but that was the most soul-crushing demoralizing defensive performance you'll ever see.

We couldn't even come close to stopping them.

The win against Tennessee when we needed two blocked field goals was pretty bad.

As bad as this LSU game was, it never really felt to me like LSU could win the game.

That sounds about right
