BoB told Milroe he should switch positions, and Milroe spent all week talking about "who got the last laugh," and dude cant read a defense, cant make a throw up the seam, cant make a throw to the flat, cant hit a slant, doesnt know what a hot read is, fumbles a lot for seemingly no reason, and takes more 15yd loss sacks of any "mobile" QB in history.

Whats even better is BoB told Milroe he should switch positions, and Miroe spent all week talking about "who got the last laugh," and dude cant read a defense, cant make a throw up the seam, cant make a throw to the flat, cant hit a slant, doesnt know what a hot read is, fumbles a lot for seemingly no reason, and takes more 15yd loss sacks of any "mobile" QB in history.

I think every Alabama fan quietly cringed when Milroe said that about BoB this week. I’m no BoB fan by any means but you say that shite after you’ve won the playoff….not before.

From another post of mine:

4 games with 30 or more points against P5 competition; 1 of those games it was only achieved with a non-offensive touchdown, so really it is 3 games by the offensive output.

This is unacceptable but BOB could only manage 24 with Milroe v. Aggy last year despite having a better tailback to pair with him. Some of the problem is Milroe. He need to become a quarterback that can attack the whole field and process the defense quickly. Some of it is the playcalling and the players around the quarterback. You don't struggle to break 30 in the modern era of college football with Alabama level of talent without everybody sharing in the blame.

I haven't looked at the stats, but most of BoB's offense was just Bryce creating out of nothing. I'd say BoB squandered a ton of talent. Conversely, I think it's pretty remarkable that Rees got as much production as he did out of such a limited quarterback.

Hey. Watch out. Milroe supporters with their LANK shirts will be out demanding respect.

Karma was definitely at work. It was shocking to me that he came out with that interview. Watching Texas and Washington in the first half makes me think we have to rethink our entire offense.

Yeah that was a bad look and it should not sit well with our fan base. My hope is that the quarterback position is open this spring.

This place is weird sometimes! I agree with you totally though. Our offense is being held back by Milroe at this point. He’s an incredible athlete that flashes at times with big plays, but for every big play he makes there are several other WTF plays.

Milroe is a truly magnificent athlete but lacks many fundamental skills to be consistent at QB.

When Milroe was named starter I said the ceiling of this team was 2-3 losses. They certainly over waaaaay achieved winning the SEC, but Milroe's limitations caught up with us and we will finish with another 2 loss year that's going to be a forgettable season several years down the road.

Milroe should have never said that crap. Whether it’s true or not you don’t say that publicly. I know Nick was pissed.

If you’re going to talk like he did before the game then you better come to play. He didn’t play well.

Told a quarterback that went 12-2 and won the SEC Championship that he should switch positions? Ok?
Reminder that only 4 quarterbacks started in playoff games this season. I know he didn’t play great, but defending that idiot BOB is a terrible look

Multiple things can be true at the same time.

-BOB was not an effective OC
-Milroe can develop into an elite QB
-Milroe has major deficiencies that have been the direct cause of our offensive inconsistencies all season

He needs an offseason with a QB coach desperately.

-Footwork is horrific which I believe contributed to his accuracy issues in the short passing game
-His processing of the field improved but he reverted badly against UM, part of which was due to poor protection and snaps.

His ceiling is still Heisman and 1st rd NFL but he needs to commit to development over the offseason or accept that Sayin should get meaningful snaps and series next year as he develops.

He was in the Heisman discussion this year and I clearly stated that’s his ceiling, not that he played at that level yesterday.

He’s certainly ahead of where Jalen Hurts was at this point as a starter at Bama and look how that played out.
