Roman Harper said the injuries are due to teams not practicing at football strength so you get the soft tissue injuries when they do play with pads and full hitting.

Back in the day once the season started we rarely did that much full on hitting. We mainly ran through the gameplan for the week and did our conditioning and position drills.

Only remember one long-term injury which was a knee injury in a game.

Majority of our starters played on offense and defense as well. Only group I didn't play on was XP/FG unit.

Verne was such a funny goofball. I will never forget him laughing and saying, "and now down to the field for a report from the wolfman...." He was referring to Tracy Wolfson.....

Yeah but it seems like we've sustained just as many injuries during practices as we have actual games in recent years

Injury report should drop in the next few minutes.

ETA: Everyone listed as Questionable last night is still Questionable tonight.

Weeks out for LSU. That should help some. Just don’t understand how a 6.5 point underdog.

Have you seen us play the last few weeks? We have the talent but this coaching staff is horrible. We get behind and Grubbs will go retarded again and DeBoer will be all die eyed and overwhelmed on the sidelines again. In afraid this game won’t be close. This staff has to go.

I don’t think they’ll be anywhere close to 100% but I imagine they’re playing. Season’s over if we lose this one.

All of them remaining questionable could very well be a little gamesmanship from KDB considering how big of an assbag LK has been.

hes been here 3 years or there abouts. but it seems as tho he checks social media to see what to wear and how to act on the sideline. it's weird

I don't think that's necessarily true. As long as we don't get blown out against LSU, we may still make the playoffs. There aren't many impressive teams this year. Our strength of schedule is better by far than most teams in the mix. Our injuries to key players (who may be back to full health by the playoffs) have affected our record, and supposedly that's something taken into account.

A lot of people are misremembering that the committee can completely re-rank week to week. If we end up 9-3, we'll be at the back end of the other 9-3 SEC teams. Texas, OM, Tennessee, LSU would all be in front of us if any or all of them end up 9-3. I have a real hard time finding a path for us if we lose this one. I actually think it would be easier if we beat LSU then lost to Auburn, which is weird to say, so let's just win and finish 10-2.

We're being propped up by Kentucky and South Carolina currently, and I highly doubt either of them run the table. The Miss St argument is kinda dumb, Fluff left after one carry and Kamario couldn't finish the game.

I think there is something to this. Injuries are about protecting yourself as much as anything. In practice, players are getting reps at an intensity that isnt quite game like and the more you do that, id think, the more you learn to play in a way that protects your joints/weak spots/etc.

When you are in an intense, game like situation, your awareness(of your body in space) can maybe be slightly set aside in order to make a play. If playing in a way that protects yourself isnt ingrained, you wont do it during an intense game.

Obviously thats just a theory from an armchair QB(me)
