Bama's not broke. They just aren't in the upper tier of NIL money. About 7 or 8 teams have significantly more NIL. If it comes down to money, and it mostly does, Bama can't usually afford to outbid those teams for a prospect. Texas, Oregon, etc., get whoever they want right off the bat. Nothing Morgan said contradicted that.

It’s that plus we don’t have as many living alumni either.
We do have a large following(most followed athletics on socials). But we’re also a bit entitled after the run we went on.
If it were 2007 and we were starved for success and we’d just hired Saban then every Gump from Fayette to Opp would be turning over his couch for loose change to give to NiL

Or, we could do like LSU (reportedly) did and have the state legislature raid state funds that were intended for rural hospitals and for Children’s Hospital of Louisiana and divert those funds for LSU’s NIL fund.
I don’t know if that’s true but I’ve seen that a couple of times online. If it IS true, that’s horrible. If that’s the only way Alabama could “compete”, I would rather just shutter the program.

NIL has ruined college football as we knew it. It will be the norm for the future generations. Oh well

Rodney Orr was just on wjoox. He was talikng about how he was looking forward to seeing how this O line will progress as the season moves forward. They asked him what are the strengths of this team. He said well first the defensive backs are very talented, very deep and very well coached. Another strength would be the place kickers.

I hope you are correct. NCAA looks like they are losing control of everything. There will always be a Judge somewhere to over rule them if it will benefit schools in their States.
