If you look at the quarterbacks as a position group rather than an individual competition, it’s easier to see this as a net positive. Buchner will be the only Qb with experience in Rees’ system. Whether or not he starts, he’ll help the others along and act like a junior coach in the group. We need that right now.

Dieter also had a bad drop on 3rd down in the 3rd quarter. Would've been a first down easy.

And before we lay it all at the offense's feet, keep in mind that all season long we won by creating non-offensive touchdowns. No such luck in this game.

We caught a team (and unbelievably talented quarterback) peaking at the right time. It happens.

Not sure this is true. I think if the ball is kicked into the air and never touches the ground, then the receiving team player must be given an opportunity to catch the ball whether he signals fair catch or not.

Problem is, the receiving team didn't have a player there.
