I would really want someone with a track record of putting guys in the NFL. I don't know his scheme but preferably they run something that translates well to current NFL schemes. The only issue with that is a feel like almost everyone who fits that in college probably is already under the Saban tree, outside of Minter.

To also be fair to TRob, Schumann fits in the same category.

Just a curiousity thought on Boom. There is a pretty serious lawsuit going on over here in Georgia about the drunk racing thing that happened after the National Championship. A player and a recruiting staff person killed. Another staff member was injured badly. She is sueing. Recruiting rules broken (cash used to pay for things (kids and families) off the record. Coaching knowledge of the staff drinking and transporting kids/family while drunk. Staff and recruit parties at Kirby's house with drinking involved.

I am curious how much Boom will be caught up in the law suit and if he is going to be taking some heat for Kirby?

Things that make you go hmmmm.

Got anymore bright ideas?

Since those two are out we should look at Saban for DC.

Iowa dude with zero experience in the south...

Minter is from Ohio.

And he had the best defense in the country with guys from places not known for football. Like Bronx NY and Haiti.

gotta say, odd fronts (not necessarily 34 but just anything with 3 or 5 linemen) were a problem for Alabama in pass coverage this year. Teams repeatedly attacked outside backers having to check to covering inner receivers against some alignments. We did better in even fronts where the best pass rushers could pass rush and not get dragged away from the QB due to responsibilities on backs and inner slot guys in 3x1 alignments.

Georgia’s first drive we were in odd, they marched down the field and completely neutralized 15 with alignment and motion.

We went to even front and dominated.

ESPN reporting Chargers are meeting with Harbaugh.

We need to hold out for Mich DC.
