He was fun to watch. Loved his passion. Reminded me a lot of James Robinson.

Gonna miss him. He brought it every night. Very consistent player. I just wish he had more help from some of his other teammates this season. Hopefully we become a more consistent team next year.

I really enjoyed watching him play. Alabama rarely gets his level of basketball talent to pull for.

All I can say is thank you Collin Sexton. He came into an almost dead program and helped bring them back to life. Now he’ll go on to the NBA and have many successful years. His time at Alabama went pretty much as expected.....fun, trash-talking kid who took us to the NCAA tourney and won a game. Roll Tide, Collin!

Collin Sexton was asked point-blank: Are you going to go pro in the NBA draft? His answer: "Right now, I'm worried about my team and celebrating with my team because we had a great season. Also, I got to finish school, and I'm trying to finish with a 4.0."

Good for him to answer like that instead of making it about him. I hope he's not seriously considering staying though. Go get paid. He has earned it.

I enjoyed watching him play for Alabama, hope he comes back there to finish his degree. And I'm sure he is headed for an NBA team, but I still won't watch that league.

U should want to watch even more now, he ll excel in the league and it'll help the program even more. Proud of everything he did for this program, even more proud of the fact he gave some kids his game shoes and was last to leave the floor.

yeah, it wouldn't make financial sense to stay back to earn a degree that may earn in a lifetime what he can get in his first year. There are always your 30's and 40's for a degree, if that is a goal.

For selfish reasons, I disagree

Seriously though, I'll be watching him in the NBA. I truly think he'll become the best NBA player we've produced. He has the confidence and gym rat personality that can make him a true star at the next level.

For selfish reasons, I want him to stay but no way should anyone pass up the opportunity to set themselves up financially for life and still be able to come back at a later time to finish up their degree. I wish him the best and forever will be grateful for what he has done for the program. I will be a fan of his no matter where he lands.

Robert Horry, Antonio Mcdyess, Sprewell? Sexton is gonna be good, but chill out.

Year 2?

LINK

quote:

Coach Avery Johnson said he expects Sexton will be in the classroom Monday morning like any other week.

quote:

"I feel like we can go farther than this," Petty said. "Next year, we'll be more experienced with this atmosphere."

quote:

Coach Avery Johnson, a former NBA star and head coach, said they've been in constant communication with the Sexton family on the topic of the draft.

With such a sour ending and strong class coming in, could Avery pull off the unthinkable?

I doubt he stays due to being a top 10 lock...But it wouldn't completely shock me if he stayed one more year because he's so damn competitive and may not wanna leave on a sour note. His family is a solid middle class family , they're not hurting for money and his siblings are both college educated. That being said he ll declare and go to combine and then we ll see. He's definitely gonna excel in the modern NBA .
