We can't compete with the NIL money. Mark Cuban is pouring money into their program. Sales is taking the bag and going to a program that just won it all last year.

Cignetti is playing a dangerous game of relying on a transfer QB to be his starting QB every season. It's worked out so far with Rourke and Mendoza, but if they "miss" on the QB they've targeted due to poor play or injury they are gonna be in trouble.

They ought to be happy and just enjoy the ride…sure they are considering where they were.

Looking at their schedule, even their conference schedule is pretty weak. T

9/25 Northwestern at IU (Northwestern is pretty mediocre, probably a 6-6 or 5-7
team)

10/3 At Rutgers (another mediocre team)

10/10 At Nebraska (another mediocre team)

10/17 OSU at home (probably the only team that beats IU this year)

10/24 At Michigan (could be a trap game, coming off an emotional/physical game vs OSU?)

10/31 Minnesota at home (another perrennial 6-6 team)

11/14 USC at home (Is there a more under performing coach in America than Lincoln Riley?)

11/21 Washington at home (another perrennial 6-6 or 7-5 team)

11/28 Purdue at home (Will be absolute carnage, Purdue is terrible)

So, IMO, they really only have one, maybe two games they have a shot at losing.

All this fig has to do is win 8-10 games over the next 5 seasons before he retires.... he can't lose!

How many people are stupid enough to throw money at NIL. There are only a hand full of Mark Cubans that can or will throw huge sums of money away. I think if this keeps all benefiting the super rich, the other 98% will just shut it down.

Anyone have any clue on when the wave of commits should start coming?

It's odd looking at 247 and Alabama, Georgia and LSU are all out of the top 30 at this stage.

We have to negotiate contracts now.

It's a time consuming process.

Big recruiting weekend coming up next Saturday, 5/29/26:

WR Monshun Sales 5 star

OT Ismael Camara 4 star

CB Hayden Stepp 4 star

WR Osani Gayles 4 star

DT Mitchell Turner 4 star

Edge Prince Goldsby 4 star

DT Donivan Moore 4 star (current AU commit)

LB Kenneth Simon II 4 star (current commit)

TE Malik Howard 3 star

RB Nigel Newkirk 3 star

TE Colt Lumpis 3 star (current commit)

WR Cam Wade 3 star

CB Darrius White 3 star

DL Avrian Pawley 3 star (current commit)

Need to knock the visit out of the park on Sales. Getting Mitchell Turner would be a huge get. Can't have too many good DL.

I really want to land Sales to pair with Haven. Give Sales the NiL of the whole WR class. Quality over quantity.

I kind of cringe when I see "Can't miss prospect" because I've seen too many like that that didn't pan out but honest to God, Sales sure does look like one of those that really is the real deal..Landing him would be gigantic.

Exactly. We’ve gotta find a way to big boy some of these NiL battles. We’re not nearly as NiL poor as people try to act like we are but we generally play it pretty financially smart.

I just wouldn’t mind splurging here and there to take a big swing at a piece that could put you over the top.

Are you willing to pay him more than Coleman-Willians and Brooks? Also knowing the $$$ it will take to sign could be used to sign possible 5* Sabb and Majay who this staff loves. He is going to cost more than those 2 combined

I miss the good old days of having Saban and Malzahn dance it out for Rashaan Evans at the family wedding
