Why? Kiffin would have killed it at Alabama too. I wouldn’t doubt that at all. Deboer has done well, better than expected. We need to do better at DL/Edge recruiting and that may still happen. Come on down Justus T.

I’m hoping one of (or better yet, both) Latham/Overton breakout early this season and ball out. Obviously I want them to play well for the on-field success of the team first and foremost, but I also think if we can get a lot of production out of the Bandit position, it would go a long way in convincing Justus Terry to come to UA. At least one would hope..

We've lost a S, DL, and LB in the last week or so. Probably want at least two of those. Not sure we want another TE, but I'm not on the coaching staff, so my opinion is just my opinion.

Can anyone help me figure out this who this kids brother is. This is Erick Smith 6'6" 190lb WR from Southside high in Selma. There is a statement from Hastings at the bottom of the page that says he is the brother of a former Bama commit and happy to receive an offer. Dated 8/1

We are just coming off watching Will Anderson, Dallas Turner and Chris Braswell terrorize the SEC for three seasons, and you post this(?) To say that’s a head-scratcher is not doing it justice. Now we are fixing to see a couple of years of Qua Russaw, Noah Carter and others do the same.
Certainly I would love to see someone like Terry come here, because UGA has basically owned DL recruiting basically since Kirby got there. Even with that, look at his record against the Tide in that time.

Kiffin hasn't killed it in recruiting anywhere he's ever been, but that's moving the goalposts anyway. The argument being advanced by his supporters at the time was that DeBoer couldn't recruit so we needed to overlook Kiffin's mediocre resume and terrible off field persona because only he understood these kids and the portal. Then he lost his most important player to the portal and just lost his first major recruiting battle against DeBoer. Kiffin blows in addition to being a huge POS. It's okay to call that out.

While I’d love another 5 star for ranking purposes and bragging, it’s going to be hard to convince another highly rated edge to join this class given it’s a position that early playing time often plays a heavy factor in, and our roster is pretty stacked with guys that have both immense talent AND some experience.
I’ll admit though, while I figured the criticisms of DeBoer’s recruiting prowess was overblown, I did not expect us to be where we’re at right now. Maybe we’d be at 2-3 once we’d had a good season and showed people there wasn’t much drop off, but to be steadily in the top two all of summer heading into fall is just outstanding.

I still feel like he’s is rated too low. I’ve watched a ton of his film and he catches just about anything thrown in his vicinity and his route running has steadily improved. Bama found a gem in Lotzier Brooks!
