He got a crimson colored tattoo that says Deuce yesterday, unless he pulls a Reuben Foster I think he’s a Bama lock. Doesn’t mean he won’t transfer a year or two down the road.

I mean that Reverend Hugh is gonna still get his visit before February 9th and he’ll turn the entire Chi-O building into a whorehouse if he has to

"Has to." I'm sure it'd break his heart to have to turn those girls out. Being the good Christian he is and all.

Not that it matters but did this come from Tim Watts or just some flunky?

All of them, including Watts.

I already see ppl saying this doesn't count as a W for DeBoer...he's not the reason he's coming to Bama...you know damn well if we miss on Ryan that it will be considered an L for DeBoer so he sure as hell deserves the W if we get him.

Folks are wild. They want Bama so desperately to go back to the probation era. Ain't happening.

Gotcha. Wasn’t sure how that worked since I don’t pay much attention to that usually.

Who is saying that? It’s a huge win for DeBoer if he comes here, Ryan Williams is his Julio Jones.

We still have a long way to go with transfers out but if we can get Carter and Williams and possibly Muhammad through the Portal, staff have done a hell of a job buttoning up this roster under the circumstance. And still may have some 30 day windows and the spring transfer portal to round things out.

The 2023 recruiting class was fully KDB's.
-Washington 247 Composite recruiting ranking was 26th.
-Transfer ranking (247) was 46th.
-Overall rank (247): 29th.
>By Alabama/HCNS's recruiting standards 26th is beyond aweful, but by Washington's standards its not that bad (they've had higher, but not always).
I seem to remember them being constantly top 15 when Peterson was there. Looks like DeBoer had them going in the right direction in recruiting, it just takes a while usually to do that cause you have to build relationships with recruits over years. I seriously doubt he was in on the same kid at Fresno as he was trying to recruit to Washington, so it's kinda starting I from square one. I do like that we kept 2 of our 3 best recruiters on staff in Gillespie and Roach. The other was Wiggins but I think his coaching ability (or lack thereof) didn't justify letting him for his recruiting. Roach and Gillespie are at least solid at coaching. So I dont think we are going to be starting at square one in recruiting, especially since many of the new hires are also good recruiters, and bama is such a brand that it should be easier to recruit here than Washington.

I doubt we have anymore transfer out in this 30 day window. If we do it’ll probably happen today.

Hugh Freeze coaching from a hospital bed in a press box might be one of the most underrated moments when it comes to pure comedy. Jfc what an absolute joke that guy is.

btw they scored zero points that day.

Only thing funnier to me is picturing Saban at home watching the Iron Bowl when he had Covid. Man if I could be a fly on a wall in that household on that day...

That image is fricking hilarious. If coaching doesn’t work out for him, he should go be some shyster ambulance chaser lawyer with billboards all along I-10. Truck Accident? Brother Hugh is here for YOU.

Good news. Amari Jefferson is a stud. Could be a legit star in KD's offense.

My daughter goes to Baylor and I got to see him quite a bit. He is very good

Did anyone notice his glasses are upside down. Had he taken them off with the hand he is holding them in they would be the other way. He just grabbed them for effect.

They were in the top 15 range (#16 2018, #15 2019) 2 of Petersens 6 years. Rest were in the mid 20's.

Historically UW's capped out at 88 average rating outside of the Jimmy Lake years (90). DeBoer was at that 88 figure. We can't assume he's a great recruiter but we also can't assume he's bad based off of that.
