I'm surprised nobody has posted that Monroe Freeling committed to Uga earlier this evening. Is there another thread going right now, or has it just been a bit dead this afternoon?

We are done at the OL positions.
Why would we care if he committed to Georgia?

It's been said that we would certainly make room for Samson O if he decided to come our way, and very possibly (but not knowm for sure) Freeling if he wanted to come our way. We were certainly still recruiting him.

Maybe they're recruiting him as a contingency in case some our current commits flip or are ineligible?

Bama had interest in him,and I believe he visited Bama last month. It was a late push.

Getting him would be a bonus, butI think they will continue to recuit him til December.
Remember Bama will take 5 or more in OL. They're not recuiting Monroe as a contingency.

Meh, I usually post when a lot of the targets who aren't mentioned a lot in the Bama recruiting space commit elsewhere. Was busy but didn't feel Freeling going to UGA was a surprise or noteworthy. When he set his announcement date nobody believed he was coming here

Wiltfong put in a CB to OU (6 confidence) for Hicks. Not a lost cause but things look like they will have to change a good bit the next few months both on his side and the staffs feelings on getting him in the class if he is to end up in Tuscaloosa.
