I don't know if he's Larry Coker 2.0 or anything, but I really do kinda think that Kirby's recruiting strategy is predicated on seeing who Saban shows the most interest in.

I feel the same way, but he didn't exactly have a lot of opportunity to actually play the position. He didn't get to play outside of the "Kirby's Super Deluxe Justin Fields Three Play Offense Featuring Almost Zero Pass Plays".
