Georgia is getting BEAT DOWN!!! Maybe, future recruits will be able to see through all the hype as they implode in their bowl game and diminish any momentum going into next season!
I think next season is going to fully expose the Kirby regime to all. A lot of people still think it was a fluke that UGA lost to LSU. It was not and this game proves. Kirby is a player's coach that the players don't fear.

Prayers for his family. The young man went out like a champ though. If I ever get a disease like that, I pray that I handle it with half the dignity and attitude that he had

The bad thing is they ran right at Georgia the entire game smh

I think Tua losing his mobility after the injury on the first drive really kept us from running away from UGA.

He didn't have the same velocity on his throws to hit his windows either, or his deadly accuracy.

I think the Kirby honeymoon is over. Next year could start to get some of the same heat Richt got from boosters, whether it's warranted or not, if he falls into some of the same pitfalls he did this season (LSU style loss).

If Florida beats them next season the UGA fans will lose their shite. They thought the LSU game was an aberration but now they are seeing going back to last season when they played Auburn the first time that Kirby and/or his staff have serious deficiencies and they need coaching to mold all the talent they have.

Whoever the idiot was that brought the dog over to Bevo should be fired. You don’t do that to a steer and could definitely tell he’s never been around cattle.

quote:I said they don't "necessarily" mean much. Trent Dilfer said Shaun White was a "program changer" after he was MVP of the Elite 11. There are many such gaffs. The "analysts" often get it right and often get it wrong. DL, RB and WR are probably the easier positions to analyze because they are more dependent on athletic ability. OL, secondary, QB are more dependent upon how a kid fits in a scheme and technique that can be developed, etc. Kids have can have an off week or an on week, e.g., look at Kight.
They mean nothing? This is the first time you can see how good these kids really are. Just remember Amari Cooper tearing it up in one of these games. Julio as well and many others.

Next year determines a lot about Kirby IMO. If they don't make the playoffs and lose a game to a bad team or get routed by a good team along the way you'll definitely start to hear the Richt comparisons get louder. They went ahead and anointed him as the future of the SEC because he almost beat us a couple of times. Brother Hugh actually beat us twice. Look at him. Sumlin beat us once and almost a second time. Look at him. Gus has beaten us a couple of times. Do UGA fans think Auburn is about to take over the conference? Up until 1/9, and even a couple of times afterwards, Les was going toe to toe with us every time we played LSU. Now he's fired and at Kansas. The point being that unlike Kirby plenty of coaches have led their teams to actual wins over Alabama, and in the end it didn't mean anything.

For whatever reason UGA teams have always been undisciplined on the field. Under Richt and now Smart. They always have the talent but when recruiting these pre madonna type players a coach needs to manage them and have them understand they are part of the solution to win not the only solution. Why Saban has done such a great job because he gets players that buy into the process. Yes Kirby can recruit but the inmates are still running the program(so to speak) over there just like they did under Richt.

Didn’t watch Sugar Bowl. Did Fields get to play any? Did this game clarify his intentions to transfer? Did the talking heads mention where he would be headed? Kirby pissed off in his presser and blaming the players? None of these questions really matter just what occurred to me when I woke up and saw the score

I did not watch the game and only saw the score this morning as well.

Ranking the QBs from Day 1 of All-American practice
quote:
SAN ANTONIO — A 2019 crop of quarterbacks that's had its share of detractors put on a serviceable show Tuesday on the first day of All-American Bowl practices. The event put the West and East squads both in the Alamodome, meaning we got to watch each quarterback (before last year, practices were split up).
Below we've ranked the quarterbacks in order based on performance. There's plenty of time throughout the week for these rankings to change.

Tagovailoa gets an incomplete on the day. The Alabama signee is still feeling the effects of an injury to his throwing arm he sustained during his team’s state championship game. As a result, he wasn’t able to put much juice on the ball during Tuesday’s practice. The 5-foot-11, 215-pounder took the fewest passing reps of the East quarterbacks and didn’t overly exert his arm when he did.
Tagovailoa ranks as the No. 110 overall prospect and No. 4 pro-style passer according to the 247Sports Composite.
