Is Alfano a DT or DE?
Posted on 1/1/19 at 4:28 pm to Shaft Williams
Think he will play both unless he gets bigger . I could see DE in base and sliding to DT in nickel

Brian Dohn (247) talked with 2020 Tide commit Chris Braswell (5* DE/OLB, St Frances Academy) at the Under Armour Future 50 check-in. He said he's all set with Bama, a "man of my word" and won't be looking around. Dohn asked about Locksley (his recruiter) leaving for Maryland and if he'd look. He said no, that it was a business and he understood it, and the best business decision for himself is Alabama.

Sounds like a Bama kid.

247 already has Alfano as the #8 player in the country. Is there one service that is ranking him way lower than everyone else?

The second video of Alfano in that article is scary.

Next Five Offense
1. OL, Evan Neal, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy- Neal had another strong day and was in contention for Alpha Dog. He moved around a bit and played both left tackle and right guard. At tackle, he was tremendous and always amazes us how a kid his size moves as easily as he does. He lost a couple of reps at guard but as tall as he is, we’ll be surprised if he ever lines up in the interior part of the line. His wins at tackle were as impressive as anyone and many times an opposing end didn’t get past the line of scrimmage.
2. OL, Devontae Dobbs, Belleville (Mich.)- Dobbs is a powerful kid and does really well against players trying to bull rush him. He’s so strong and has a great base, he’s able to sit and lock his man out at the point of attack. He has taken reps this week at center, guard and tackle and has looked good at all three positions. We think guard is probably his best college position and feel he has the size, strength and talent to compete for playing time next fall. The Michigan State signee is the No. 26 prospect nationally.
3. OL, Amari Kight, Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson- No one has improved more from day one to day three than Kight. He struggled on Sunday, was solid on Monday and had a dominant workout today. He went 3-0 in head to head matchups with Kayvon Thibodeux and showed off some of the best feet in the camp. He looks a lot more aggressive and is growing in confidence every day. The Alabama signee is rated the No. 52 player nationally in the 247Sports Composite.

Top Five Defense
1. DB, Kenyatta Watson, Loganville (Ga.) Grayson- Watson had another strong workout today and has been one of the best corners all week. He’s a physical corner, contests everything and had an acrobatic interception that was one of the plays of the day. We love long corners who can run and the Texas signee definitely fits the bill. He’s currently the No. 135 prospect nationally.
2. DB, Te'Cory Couch, Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna Prep- We asked the DB coach for Team Ballaholic who he felt his teams most consistent defensive back this week was and without hesitation, he named Couch. Couch was excellent today with multiple pass breakups and blanketing every receiver we saw him go against. He’s not the highest rated player in attendance but Couch is a grinder, very coachable and no one has worked harder.
3. DB, Jordan Battle, Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas- Battle has been a standout at every practice and was very good today. He’s a safety but has corner skills and is very comfortable in coverage. He plays a physical game as well and always competes at a high level. The Alabama signee is rated the No. 77 player in the 247Sports Composite and No. 44 by 247Sports.
4. DL, Nathan Pickering, Seminary (Miss.)- Pickering was ferocious and quick, showed violent hands and a really good get off. Pickering was hurt and missed part of Monday’s practice so it was good to see him back in action today. He was the only lineman we saw beat Zeke Correll and he has a really nice combination of size, speed and power. The Mississippi State commit is rated the No. 65 prospect in the 247Sports Composite and No. 27 by 247Sports.

I'm glad that Kight turned it around. I was a little concerned

Rivals' ridiculous ranking for Carter is keeping him from being a 5-star in the 247 Composite.
Eta: Unfortunately Carter won't be in the Under Armour AA Game due to injury.
