He is plugged in with specific people, but he has absolutely stepped back from when he used to be one of the best connected national guys. Still, it's good news and we need more positivity around here

Bro Sanders never wanted to be here and kept looking for reasons to go elsewhere.

For anyone interested in some really good recruiting info I posted a separate thread with two articles on multi sport athletes and oline recruiting (George plugged it earlier).

Insane....would love to know what UGA is selling him on because that Depth chart at UGA is loaded with young RB's

Sanders going to UGA makes very little sense to me. Bama is putting every RB they have into the pros and have been for well over a decade now--and most as 1st or 2nd rounders. We are graduating 2 RB's this year and may have a 3rd go pro early. UGA is loaded at RB. So he's going to go and sit behind Swift and Hollyfield next year and then have to compete with 2 other 5-stars in White and Cook for carries after that. Almost makes you wonder how cleanly Georgia is recruiting these days. This is starting to get a bit of that Ole Miss feel to it, when everyone knew they were cheating and it was just a matter of time until they got hammered.

It's one 5 star RB, Sanders may like their rb coach better, he may not feel the vibe at Bama. He's a teenager making a life changing decision, it's not always rational

not sure if allowed here, but reports are that the barns left OT is likely leaving the house. They already have O line problems, so any running back going there could have rough sledding.

Who is the running back up in North Alabama? He might be committed to Miss St, I'm not sure. Anyways, the kid is fast as hell and I wish we would offer him if we miss out on Sanders.

What is Bama's record head to head against Georgia the last two years for top recruits that they both want?

Not trying to be a debbie downer but Lugenbill has no clue and does not keep up with recruiting at all. Last year many called him out constantly due to him having incorrect information.
Lets remember he was on the same radio station last year about this time when a caller asked him about Najee Harris. He said he believed UA would land him but it would be a fight all the way to NSD in February. That after he takes all his visits in January it would provide a clearer picture. Now that is funny because if you remember Najee was an EE reporting to campus in January and had already taken his OVs.
He has done this now for several years as he seems to be more focused on broadcasting then recruiting.

Tega is out, I posted it earlier in the thread, but Tigerpaw1 said that there is a real chance next years starting tackles are transfers from Butler and Umass.

I think this is a misconception. We did lead at once when he committed but then he decommitted which would indicate we were no longer his leader. I know many sites have reported that UA was in a good place to get him back but I am not sure since he decommitted that Sanders ever said we were leading again. I could be very wrong on that.
