Yeah, once again... "Sauces say he is flying to Oakland." click, click, click

Najee Harris on a decision being made on flying to Oakland after the Army Bowl: "It's not true."

Recruiting folks are NOT journalist.

Yes he could.

He's laughing his arse off at the recruiting journalists and the fans of both schools.

I dont think Najee appreciates how these hacks have taken advantage of his name to get clicks.

If they want to make hacks of themselves then so be it. If I was Najee at this point I would let them make fools of themselves also.

Like many have said, he could have ended this a long time ago. By him not coming out and ending his recruitment or just simply flipping, he has created this very situation.

Yep. He may be a kid, but if he was the quiet guy that didn't like attention that everyone said he was, he would have came out and said either he was still going to Bama or he was flipping.

Pretty simple if you don't want the journalists bothering you.

He gone:

Source: Najee Harris requests a flight change — to Alabama

quote:

per an U.S. Army All-American Bowl operations source, Harris has requested a flight change — asking to land in Birmingham now, instead of back home in California (Oakland). That would put the running back on Alabama's campus by Sunday evening at the latest as an early-enrollee, ending a dizzying back-and-forth between Alabama and Michigan that's worn on for months.

eta: interesting that the Bowl will pay to fly you wherever:

quote:

As part of the invitation to play in the Army Bowl, travel is paid for, with a departing flight from San Antonio to anywhere of the player's choice. Those flights can be changed — and Thursday afternoon, after practice No. 3, Harris made use of the flexible nature of the Army Bowl's travel capabilities.

Maybe that, or he just sees it as a media game trying to manufacture drama. He has given his word to Saban and is just going to continue to ignore the media instead of playing their game.

Source: Najee Harris requests a flight change — to Alabama

Barton Simmons - 8 minutes ago

SAN ANTONIO — The saga of No. 1 recruit Najee Harris appears all but over.

Thursday morning, multiple sources told 247Sports that Harris' was booked for an Oakland-bound flight at the end of the trip. That was counter to what Bama commit Tua Tagovailoa said Wednesday, when he told 247Sports' Hank South that Harris would be on his flight to Alabama. It is unclear, but assumed, that Harris' travel request will be accommodated.

A non-Bama bound player on the West squad told 247Sports on Thursday he had heard Harris would stick with his Alabama commitment, too. Classes start Jan. 11 at Alabama.

The 6-foot-2 Harris is a five-star recruit out of Antioch (CA) and the No. 1 player in the 2017 class per the 247Sports Composite. He committed to Alabama in April of 2015.

Yea I was about to post earlier today that why the hell would he fly home and then have to have his family pay for a cross-country flight to Detroit or Birmingham if the Army AA Bowl pays for the departing flight. Unless he was seriously undecided still...

Demetric Warren CB'd Jeff Thomas to Miami. Doesn't Miami have stricter admission requirements than Alabama?
