On a related note, 247 has Blake Barnett ranked as high 4-star (96).

The two highest rated players in the 247 JUCO ratings are Jarrett Stidham and Blake Barnett. They've played a combined 5 games in college.

Alabama quarterback commit Tua Tagovailoa was named the 2016 Gatorade Player of the Year in Hawaii after a state championship season that saw him pass for 2,669 yards and rush for 727 yards, amassing 35 touchdowns along the way for St. Louis High School.
The Gatorade Player of the Year honor goes to a student athlete who not only excels on the field, but off as well. Tagovailoa maintained a 2.84 PGA and volunteered in a Youth Ministry Program as well as the Elementary School Literacy - Outreach Program.
Tagovailoa plans to participate in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in January before moving to Tuscaloosa to begin his college career.
At 6-foot-1, 212 pounds, Tagovailoa is rated the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback and the No. 33 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.

Wednesday marks the first day junior college mid-year graduates can sign a national letter of intent with the school they are planning on transferring to. Alabama is expected to receive LOIs from 4-star offensive tackle Elliot Baker and 4-star defensive end Isaiah Buggs.
Baker has been committed to Alabama since early June. The nation’s No. 1 junior college offensive lineman took an official visit to Tuscaloosa for the Iron Bowl after taking one to Texas A&M in mid-November. Despite that, he never wavered on his commitment once, even when other schools, such as Georgia, pitched him a better opportunity of early playing time.
While it’s an intriguing opportunity to have a better chance to play right away at Georgia, Baker said that’s not how he thinks.
“I’m someone who likes a challenge,” Baker told SEC Country. “I feel like surrounding myself with the best players in the nation. I feel like that’s what would make me a better player. Competing against the best players in the country would really raise my playing level. That’s what I like about Alabama. It’s also my dream school.”
He’ll make that dream become a reality on Wednesday when he signs his letter of intent at noon ET. He’s expected to be on Alabama’s campus on Jan. 4, meaning he should be able to participate in several practices leading up to the national championship game if the Crimson Tide beat Washington on New Year’s Eve.
Buggs committed to Alabama over LSU on Tuesday in another giant recruiting victory for Nick Saban over his former school. The 6-foot-4, 290-pound prospect was considered a strong lean to LSU before this past weekend when he took his first trip to Tuscaloosa.
The Tide have always wanted Buggs in this class but getting him on campus had proved to be difficult until this past weekend. Heading into the official visit, SEC Country was told by multiple sources that he was considered a “lock” for the class. That turned out to be true.
Buggs is expected to sign his letter of intent during a school ceremony at 4 ET. He is expected to enroll at Alabama on Jan. 8.

I was really confused until I realized they were talking both Baker and Buggs.

Barnett shouldn't be anywhere near a high 4*. For the most part, he looked like a deer in the headlights out there.
