A Michigan news site ran with the story, but has now updated it.

The guy that started it all...

Scout has former Bama LB Adonis Thomas as the #4 overall Juco player nationally, six spots ahead of #10, Elliott Baker.

Adonis Thomas. The same guy that Pruitt saw for a couple practices and wondered how he ever made it on our roster. Couldn't play dead in a "B" Western.

Ehh, Muschamp was high on him too. Pruitt comes off as very "you either fit my system or don't so GTFO" to me.

High on him when? Coming out of HS? A lot of schools wanted him out of HS. He couldn't play at Bama... either as a LB under Kirby Smart or under Pruitt.

Now, maybe he's made a huge transformation this Fall and has become a player. I hope for his sake he has, as I certainly have nothing against him. But unless something shocking has happened with his development, to have him at #4 is laughable.

To be honest Adonis had over 25 offers coming out of HS and got offered from almost every SEC school and every good DC pretty much in the country.

Sometimes, like in ATs case and Tyler Love's case...schools miss on the eval

Then there are guys like Jordan Howard that NO ONE knows about....or Josh Jacobs that only came into his own toward the end of the recruiting process

Sometimes recruiting is just as much a crap shoot as it is a science

Very interesting post from Rodney Orr this evening. Basically said that "when all is said and done in this class Bama will have completely gutted the state of Louisiana".

He's didn't add to that, nor deny or confirm any speculation. But the speculation is that we might be taking Devonta Smith now.

Anyway, there's that. Rodney doesn't post rumors or anything without GOOD sources. Speculate however you like.

Well to be fair, everyone else has been saying we were taking Smith all along.

ETA: I see our downvoter is back.

I guess that means we'll get Mathis, too. I wonder if we'd rather have him or Kinlaw?

They melted today pretty hard over Buggs, but i saw a few mention that at least it should help them getting Mathis. If we take Mathis too they may have to shut this site down.

Think Mathis will come down to grades. He's really really good, though. Wish we could bring him in.

And what would happen if we pulled Jacoby Stevens which is still in the realm of possibility.

I hope Ruggs isn't going out of state.

Wonder if Saban would suddenly take Smith just to take a shot across the bow of LSU to show them he takes who he wants. Currently, most don't think we take more than 1 WR (Ruggs) but maybe we do it to gig them.

2018 5* DE Xavier Thomas posted that he plans to stay in-state, so either Clemson or USCe.

What? We have Jeudy and Shavers and are taking 2 more minimum. Most think Ruggs and Smith. Collins has a spot too from my understanding so 3 is also a possibility.
