Probably would depend on what the WR on the roster do? Bama is losing Dieter to graduation. Stewart could jump to the NFL, though I think he will be back. Falkins and Foster will likely transfer. Bama also lost Charlot before the season.

Lets say Stewart stays and all the others leave, that would leave Stewart, Ridley, Kief,Sims and Simmons next year. Stewart, and Sims would be seniors next year and Ridley will jump to the NFL after next season.

You have Jeudy, Shavers and Townsend as players currently committed to Bama who will play receiver and will add Ruggs to that list. That would give you 9 scholarship WR on the roster next year, which is the same number Bama thought they would have going into this season, before Charlot left.

You would also have to look at the quality of WR in the 18 class and see how many the staff thinks is better then Smith. Bama would likely sign 3 in the 18 class if they only took 4 in the 17 class or just 2 in the 18 class if they sign 5 in the 17 class.

We're definitely not taking 3 more, and it might just be 1. You're forgetting Townsend, who is now viewed as a slot WR and not a DB.

Maybe so but I feel really confident about Ruggs and Smith from what I've read. I also think Collins may come as well. I just can't see any of the 3 being left out. Personally I think smith is the only slight question with LSU being the threat.

With a class that's already rumored to be small'ish, could Ohio State actually sign 5 of the top 16 CBs according to 247..
Wade, Riep, Williamson (already committed) and currently trending for the top 2 5-stars in Okudah & Holmes.
Factor in safety's Pryor & White as well = 7 DBs.
Is this really possible.. And however unlikely, is there still time for Wade to re-evaluate if both Okudah (EE) & Holmes commit before he signs??

What? We have Jeudy and Shavers and are taking 2 more minimum. Most think Ruggs and Smith. Collins has a spot too from my understanding so 3 is also a possibility.

Most??? Haven't seen ANY people in the know on ANY site say 3 more. They all are saying right now that Ruggs has a spot, and Smith "might" depending on missing with DL guys.

I think we end up with at least these prospects:

LaBryan Ray
Henry Ruggs
Phidarian Mathis
Devonta Smith

Here is what could happen.

Holmes could play offense. White is likely moving to LB. Wade or Okudah may well end up as safeties in college as more teams move to spreads and safeties have to be able to cover WRs. It's still a large DB haul for OSU, but they lost 3 guys to the NFL last year in the secondary, and are likely losing 2-3 more this year

I hope you are right on Solomon. He may be the best player in this class overall.

Lane just signed former FSU and East MS CC quarterback De'Andre Johnson to be his QB at Florida Atlantic.

You love you some Solomon that's for sure

Him going to Bama is marginally better than Michigan, but OSU is probably likely to play both teams over the next 5 years a couple times

If he can get a couple of big o-line and d-linemen from JUCO then he could have them in a great spot quick. Saw somewhere yesterday that they return their leading rusher (a FR), WR, and QB (a SO). They may make some noise in conference. Pulling for Lane.

I didn't initially. Then I watched his Senior film. He's a fricking animal.

What's really funny is that is the highest ranked recruit for FAU since 2012.

I'm still not buying this, I see him at UCLA when it's all said and done.
