Go back and look at the game, hell look at the UAC YouTube video of the game. Dude was lost and didn't give the effort

You're exactly right, people want to jump on Henry T and not say a word about Harris. Harris was terrible, he was out of position most of the time and slow to read and react. He was consistently catching blocks 5 yards down the field. Again, how much do we want to blame the players on this. Harris and Henry T are being taught by the worst inside linebacker position coach Nick Saban's ever had here. Our inside linebackers every year under Golding have struggled

They were both very bad and arguably the main reasons we were unable to get off the field.

I’m beginning to think it’s coaching. Mack regressed, Moses always looked lost and would hit the wrong gap or get caught up in the clutter, Now Harris is doing the same damn thing

Harris + Hellams on def

Owens + Bolden on offense

Changes need to be made

What tipped you off?

As bad as Golding is at calling plays he's significantly worse at coaching linebackers. If Saban insists on keeping him around, he needs to give up on this notion that the DC has to coach the ILBs. Because Golding simply can't do it.

it wasnt just the ilb's. i cant get the play out of my head where battle just jogged along watching the florida rb run into the endzone for a freaking td from about 20 yards out. it seemed like there was an effort by some to not put as much into this game as was required. there was so much bad defensive play, that it seemed on purpose, to me any way. this is one opinion that i hope i'm dead wrong on.

you can miss assignments or not have a clue what you're supposed to be doing. but when you just lollygag around putting in minimal effort, thats something way different.

Could you post a link to the UAC video clips for the game?

I don't think anyone was play half arse. I do think they were playing confused, which made them a step slow.

Looked like an effort thing from Harris. That speed option scheme gave him all sorts of trouble. Jaylen Moody needs to get some time with the 1s in practice.

Honestly if that is the best Harris can give us then Moody needs to get reps. At the very least it shakes Harris from this daze.

You can't blame an entire game on 1 guy, but it's hard to watch that game again and not see how Harris single handedly gave away 2-3 big plays on every Florida scoring drive.

Half of these plays where he gets sucked in aren't even his responsibility IF the guy gets the ball. There is no reason for it and yet it effects his eyes. That's freshman level shite.

Its weird, because the first quarter and a half Harris was playing like his hair was on fire. Hell, most of the defense was. Its like they just quit after we went up 21-3. I'm pretty convinced that they aren't near as bad as they showed on Saturday.

He had a great first play. Pretty much everything after that was bad. A lot of it egregiously bad.

HTT was flying around - he made some bad reads and angles, but he was "ok". Harris was just......I mean I don't know what the hell he was doing.

Harris and Hellams my gosh. Like, holy shite were they bad.

Christian Harris had a Markail Benton level performance on Saturday. And I do not say that lightly.

They quit because they thought Florida would quit

These players completely lack defensive instinct and that is 100% on coaching. This system does not work without improvisation and reading the offense. Everyone should go back and watch some games from 2011- that entire defense knew where to be on every play

Cole Cublic said it was the worst game Harris has played at Alabama. GMac talked about everything they threw at Harris on the first drive. He said it looked like Florida designed the plan to go at Harris and went into detail about the things they threw at him. Said it looked like his head was spinning after that drive. But, we couldnt slow down that little school that ran the wish bone on us a few yrs ago.. We dont seem to have a clue what to do with the option play. And Cole said we are getting killed on throw back passes. . Miami did it, then Mercer hit us with 2 big plays on throw backs, and he said FL burned us 5 times with it. Cublic said our execution on blitzes was bad. Said the linebackers run into the D linemen. And on twists the linemen run into each other. Said one play they ran into each other and the Fl center and guard were just standing there looking at the Ala players like, well are you going to rush or not? On Auburn, Cublic said all these Auburn fans are telling me know much better the Auburn O line is this year. Cublic said its not true. Both of the O tackles are poor, and Penn St got a lot of pressure just up the middle. And he said the O linemen never get to the second level and get a body on the linebackers.

Josh Pate was talking about how their is some LBs that aren't being physical and he expects some shake up on the roster in that position.

there was a point in the second half where I was genuinely wondering if we were even trying to rush the QB. It looked like our guys were going half speed. I remember telling my friend that our pass rush was literally non-existent. It was just an odd performance from them, because we know how good these guys are, and we've seen them dominate much better offenses than Florida's. It was just strange.
