That clip was the epitome of "good team" versus an "elite team". It also illustrates how Brandon Miller is HIM. Council dribbles off his foot and hangs his head as he casually walks back on defense. Miller sees the blood in the water and delivers back-to-back daggers to ice it.

As soon as I saw Council hanging his head after he dribbled the ball out of bounds, I said "this game is over" with just a 5 point lead and over 4 minutes to go in Bud Walton Arena. Crazy how quickly things have changed for an Alabama basketball fan.

I was on the road listening to his great call of the game.
For me personally, he's my favorite calling any Crimson Tide related sports event.
True homer with passion.
Love Chris Stewart!

I never really got a chance to hear him call a football game this year. He is fantastic at calling basketball. I like when says stuff like, “end of the first half 42-36, good guys on top”.

He's good at football too. He has always done a great job of balancing being a homer and being a professional. He clearly has a rooting interest and loves Alabama, but he doesn't turn into a little bitch baby like Stan White when things don't go our way.

Overlooked is the "Bottoms" call after the first three...probably a tribute to Doug Layton and what some of us remember as his trademark call on his broadcasts of the great Bama teams of the seventies.

He is good. Paul Kennedy was good, but someone in our admin screwed that up. I think it was to bring back John Forney, but my memory could be off on how that happened.

Forney will always be my favorite. He was great, but also I was born in 1952 and grew up listening to most games on the radio. In fact, most games were just on the radio, so John Forney loomed large over our understanding of Alabama football. Loved Doug Layton calling hoops too in the '70's and early '80's. Chris is fabulous too. It's just a different era where everything is on tv, plus I have had season tickets to home basketball games for over 40 years.

Was it Joe Dean who used to say, "String music"?
