I'm roll tide till I die and I want to win it all. However, I'm also a realist. I'm currently caught between two worlds... I want to say we're gonna whip that arse, but then I want to say that we've struggled so much down the stretch that it doesn't seem possible. It's just an odd feeling that I just don't know what we're gonna get from this team week to week or even half to half....hell not even drive to drive. It's just so damn frustrating. I know we were spoiled with Saban, but this inconsistency isn't normal either.

I have been following the Tide since 58. My high school coach was the co-Captain of that team. Robert Bobby Smith.

It's been a great ride from Coach Bryant to Kalen with mostly really good years and some bad along the way.

I am afraid we're done for 2025. I expect the OU game to go much like the UGA game.

I want to see what these guys can do with some time to get relatively healthy after that brutal schedule, and to see what DeBoer can come up with with some time to prepare.

Not writing them off yet, but also wouldn't be surprised if they go out with a whimper (the offense anyway, not the defense.)

I see zero reason for optimism with respect to the offense and QB play. Call me crazy I guess.

Yeah, I don't buy the argument that the only reason people are worried is because we've all been spoiled by Saban. The last few years with Saban we saw similar issues with consistency and poor utilization of talent. I think you'd be hard pressed to find any rational spectator complaining about the defense this season. Special Teams has been pretty bad. The offense is especially concerning because there are questions about play-calling, health, and competence more generally.

Oklahoma is going to do the same thing that Georgia did. Nobody can be optimistic after what we witnessed on Saturday. This coaching staff has totally bungled the offense to the point where we needed penalties just to score on Saturday. The last time I saw an Alabama offense this bad was 2004. There was a reason for that unit to struggle. This group has very little. It’s a disaster.

Are you still convinced Ty hasn't drop out of the first round of the draft?

I know this…. When Bama shits the sheets it’s like a Chinese Fire Drill around here. Idk have the first damn clue what’s happened to this team, maybe their just deflated after that five game gauntlet because after that South Carolina game they have played uninspired to say the least.

Some feel Bama don’t deserve to be in the playoff after the uga game. My father gave me some valuable advice about the word deserved, it’s not what you deserve it’s what you negotiate and it’s not what you deserve it’s what you earned.

The good news is, if there's an offense in the playoffs that's as bad as ours, its the OU offense. I don't see any way they score enough points (without their defense scoring 2 scores) for them to get out of reach. We just have to not give them short fields or NOTs (non offensive touchdowns)

I'm more of your mind, PuertoRicanBlaze, but I can add previous DeBoer post-season performance to the analysis for everyone's consideration.

Maybe Ty plays well and we win and then he goes pro after a nice little playoff run.

Or he continues to look like arse, comes back for next season, and we lose players.

Sport is about money moves now w/r/t roster spots. Why do you think Milroe went pro? In my opinion, our GM/NIL collective either lowballed him based on his current contracts or outright told him the money wasn't going to be there in 2025. He must've seen that the market value in the portal wasn't going to be that great for him after how he ended the season, so he went to the NFL instead. There was no reason for him to go pro with how 2024 ended. Pre-NIL era, he would have returned for 2025.

I believe a similar thing will happen with Ty Simpson but I think he's got enough wise counsel from his FCS-level head coach father that he will go play at Miami or some other school who thinks they have the personnel and scheme to fit him.

No no those guys are all delusional. It's only because Ty is injured! Also because his OL that can't block for 7 seconds! Also his pathetic actually badly injured RB core who can't beat the constant box of 9 players they have to run against because every defense doesn't care to keep anyone back to stop a fade/go route.

Definitely not Ty's fault...

Lol, so glad the number of those truthers completely dwindled and many have seen the light.

If KDB allows that to happen he would have signed his career over. You didn't learn from Milroe's sparkle and shine with little end result.. you better learn from Ty.

I just wish someone could get him to allow Mack or Keelon to get significant snaps in practice so he can at least have confidence to make the switch

Grubb is the problem. The offense is his responsibility. I have never seen a Bama offense regress like this team. He didn't seem to give a crap at Seattle and he doesn't seem to give a crap now. Coming down from the booth didn't solve anything. Maybe, locking him in the restroom for the whole game might improve things. Ty's crash and burn is inexplicable. However, Grubb 's play calling hasn't seemed to help deal with the pressure that Ty is facing. I believe in miracles and it is going to take one for bama not to get embaraased in the CFP.

I doubt if we had a good OL & rushing attack that Ty would be in this situation right now. Our run game is the worst in the entire nation & everyone in the stadium knows it including the opposing DC's & they have adjusted accordingly through the course of the season. Ty has obviously wilted under the pressure of having to be Superman every Saturday.
